Ive known Dr. Dugan for many years, and our Irish setter Coral has been a patient of his since she was a puppy and had some eye "issues". Just had her in to have a growth taken off from inside her eyelid. They told me they could do it without putting her out, (with just a local) and I was quite dubious. But they did it! I was so impressed with Dr. Dugans smooth technique and the technicians ability to calm Coral and keep her still. Shes doing fine this morning. Having had another dog with an eyelid growth and removal done differently at another vets, this one was soo much less invasive and so much easier on our dog. Ive always been a fan of Dr. Dugan and his hospital, but now Im an even bigger one. You can be confident entrusting the care of your dogs eyes to Dr. Dugan - hes a skilled doc and a great person who cares about you and your dog.

Overpriced!! It cost me $200 for a cataract consultation with some drops here and there, and dilation of the pupils. Did some simple visual checking with lighted instruments. No blood work done. The whole appointment took almost 2 hours and a majority of it was just me sitting and WAITING. They will charge $650 for the NEXT appointment. Be prepared for spending just under a grand BEFORE cataract surgery costs. Overall the staff was peculiar. Didnt feel comfortable here at all and I didnt care for the Docs patronizing tone. Also, I called the Colorado Springs office prior to my appt (as instructed by my regular vet) to find out schedules and their receptionist was actually mean to me! Wow! Definitely did not make me feel particularly glad I chose their clinic as a first time customer. Sorry, wont be back and wont refer anyone.

One of our Boston Terriers had scratched his cornea quite badly, and the care he received was tremendous. We went for a series of visits, as it healed, and he never acted like he was going to a veterinary office. He loved the staff & wanted to explore the whole building. If it were up to him, hed probably scratch his eye again, so he could go back. (Not letting him read this review, so he doesnt get any ideas)

Dr. Best was good with my dog and took the time to answer all of my questions. They did a thorough exam and explained everything they were doing. They also took special care of my dog as shes not good with other dogs by allowing her to hang out behind the receptionist desk so I didnt have to worry about her being around the other dogs. Love this place!

The price is a big high, as I am on a fixed income, but what are my dogs eyes worth, and Dr Duggan did a wonderful job, which was cheap at twice the price. I hope I dont have to go back, but if my dog has another problem, this is where I will take her.

The staff and Dr. Dugan were great when our cattle dog went blind in one eye. Dr. Dugan helped work out the best course of action and listened to our concerns. As a bonus our pups seemed calm and even enjoyed going to see this vet!

Very pricey and the vet seems to be rushing to get you out of the office and the next patient in. Not a personal type of place you can build a doctor patient relationship.

The growth on my dogs eyelid was removed in about 15 minutes and healed up great and I am very happy with the job they did. Friendly staff as well.
