Fancy Office - Crappy Service. Ive been trying this office out, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, but in 3 visits, Ive had 3 poor experiences:1. Took my son to them for a follow up because he had Bronchiolitis. I had called them (his PCP), but they could not see him that day, so they suggested I take him in to Urgent care. Ok, fine. Take him in for a follow up the next day, but we were ten minutes late. He was struggling to breath again so we had to nebulize him before we could leave the house. I was told we missed our appointment, and that was that. I tried to explain why but they said "You were late... so... yeah..." 2. Went in for strep. They did a send away strep test and gave me a prescription. They called me 3 weeks later to let me know that I did in fact have strep. Good to know... three weeks later. 3. Went in for a physical. Got blood work done. I called 11 days later because I still hadnt heard anything and I was anxious to know the blood work was normal. "Did someone call you with the results?" No, thats why Im calling. "Oh... I see... Well I can send you the link to our portal so you can see the reports? Call back if you have any questions." To be clear, the reports are not in lay mans terms, I have no idea what they mean, and now have to call back to beg for someone to tell me what they mean. Good thing I havent been worried about this for the last 11 days or anything, might make this kind of stressful! The front desk staff is clueless, unempathetic, can sometimes be pretty snooty, and its a miracle this office stays as busy as it does. I also wonder why it takes weeks to find out lab results when every time Ive been in there they have at least 8 people working behind the front desk. They must just be there to count the money. I would be shocked if I found out the medical staff has no idea that this is the way the front desk operates.

I have been a patient here for several years and became a patient after a previous doctor misdiagnosed a serious condition that almost cost me my life. Last year I again found myself with a serious condition, and Dr. Spencer recognized the pain I was in and pushed urgently to get the tests needed to identify the root cause and treat the condition quickly and before it became more serious. In response to other reviews Ive read here, I am not a religious person, but I also dont discriminate against those who share their beliefs through quotes painted on the wall. I have favorite quotes from past Presidents on display at my desk at work but that doesnt mean that I expect everyone who comes to my desk to believe in the principles in the quotes. I have never had any employee at Mile High Family medicine ever try to discuss their beliefs with me. I have found mixed results with the check-in process; some days it is a great experience while other busy days it is not as good, but I have never been treated rudely by the staff. Everyone has rough days; perhaps those can be more obvious when someone is in a customer service role. The most important things to me when I am looking for a doctor are: 1) That they listen to me and dont make assumptions about me based on non-clinical information 2) That they are knowledgeable and excel at diagnosis and treatment of medical issues 3) That they are open minded and willing to keep working together with me until we address the problem 4) That I can trust their motives and feel that they have my best interests at heart Based on those criteria I have not had a better experience than I have at Mile High Family Medicine. The doctors and nurses know their stuff and truly have their patients health as the focus of all they do.

I chose to visit this practice because I liked what they had to say on their website, however; my experience was much different. I felt like I was just one of the many patients going through a well-oiled revenue machine. The waiting room is nice and some of the staff are nice but thats about it. While a typical routine physical visit with blood work and urinalysis cost my insurance company nearly $200 (and a non-insured patient well over that amount), the visit with my PCP was a brief and impersonal 10 minutes. Although my blood work was completed within a day of my visit, I never received a follow-up phone call and finally got the information I was looking for when I called them over a month later. When asked if I could briefly speak with my PCP, I was told that the Doctors do not speak with patients over the phone and that I would need to make another appointment for a visit (which I or my insurance company would need to pay for) to speak with them, even if it was for five minutes. Do yourself a favor and find another practice that takes the time to get to know and care about their patients.

My family and I had been loyal patients here for nearly a decade and have always recommended the practice highly. Some time ago we began experiencing errors in billing and scheduling. These errors became increasingly common. Today I spoke with the office manage regarding a bill that I had received from a lab in relation to a well patient visit. The doctor requested lab work that insurance does not cover under a well patient visit and failed to tell me that he had done so. I had accepted the explanation that the office manager had provided. Then she drops this gem on me: "Its just weird that you would talk to the doctor about [medical issue] during a well patient visit." Right. HOW DARE I talk to my doctor about a medical issue when he asks "anything else going on?" In conclusion, Im done. My family and I will seek medical care elsewhere and I will ALWAYS go out of my way to earn people of the terrible service they receive add this practice.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! To sum up my experience here as abhorrent would be an understatement. Upon my first visit I was greeted by an overly emotional receptionist, who I might add was CRYING. I am quite certain that the clients that come through the doors of this practice have much more important issues to deal with than a hysterical receptionist; I know I sure do. The Dr. I met with was aloof and unable to answer some of my basic questions about which pill I would be taking; it seemed that I was more knowledgeable about the subject than he. Also, I just received a bill for $130.00 for an office visit that took place in OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR. It also stated that I was more than 90 days past due on my account despite my ever receiving a bill previously. Needless to say I am understandably exasperated about this. Mile High Family Medicine not as salubrious as its fancy facade would lead you to believe. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I have gone here since before I was married. I use to go to the same church as Dr. Schindel. Also, I only use to see Dr. Schindel or Dr. Spencer when I switched to this place because of the increasing horrible wait times I would experience with my past primary care doctor. When I switched it was great! When I had an appointment at 3pm I was in seeing the doctor at 3:10pm after all the nurse checks. I was in and out. Then I got married and my wife and I moved to Pennsylvania for three years and then moved back. Coming back I have to say it has been a horrible experience with the PA Jessica Luedtke. She has the worst bedside manner of any medical professional I have ever experienced. She is the reason I am scoring this as a three and not at least a for. Furthermore, this place has turned into my old doctors office of extremely long wait times. And for that reason my score is dropping to a two star
