If I could give this place -10 stars I would. First : Dr Rupel: RUDE, UNCOMPASSIONATE and frankly disturbing behavior. He treats patents like criminals and if you are not taking ALL your prescriptions EXACTLY as prescribed ( even if its a tranquilizer which is AS NEEDED) He will treat you like a drug addict. Problem is he is such a coward he doesnt have the decency to have a real conversation with patients who maybe dont want to TAKE their tranquilizers EVERY day since they can be addictive. FYI: They send letters firing their patients like candy evidently with no rhyme or reason. DR Schipper: Originally very friendly, took down all the notes about a patients life threatening disability when the patient was not ill at the time. When the patient became SEVERELY LIFE threateningly ill, she REFUSED to make more than one referral after warning the patient about how BAD the practice she was referring to WAS, the specialist had NO idea about the patients disease nor was willing to reach out to their 30 + colleagues in that practice leaving the patient to DIE basically. Dr SChipper was called after patient lost 26 lbs in less than 36 days from vomiting and refusal of care at ERS DAILY , and she couldnt be BOTHERED to make referrals or speak to ER to get patient admitted. She was told that if she fired the patient ( she told family member she thought "something was strange and really wrong" despite the fact this DR was given the proper diagnosis letters and medical note from the out of state PCP with the DX listed . , Dr Schipper decided to leave the patient to die, with no proper advocacy or care. If it wasnt for the old PCP in another state whose letter she HAD in her records ( they dont bother to read their patients records evidently) who saved this patients life, after the patient had to FLY out of CO to get care from the out of state PCP, this patient would have been DEAD. Also, New West corporate has A DR on call who is not from someones actual practice, and if you are in the ER and need to be admitted, you will have a DR who doesnt know you, doesnt speak to you and in our case, tells ER doctors NOT to treat the patient ( as if they are some drug addict or something, which begs the question: If one of their patients is ACTUALLY having substance abuse issues shouldnt New West be ADVOCATING For the patients to get them HELP?! ) and NOT to give any proper meds to save this patients life, leaving the ER Drs unable to treat the patient. You are forewarned: They violate patients rights, and based on all the other New West locations, this corporate owned conglomerate should have their doors shut down. They are lucky this patient didnt die: Theyd be sued out of existence and those doctors would have their licenses revoked. As it is they are going to have complaints filed against them for violating ethics.

Ill preface this by saying I dont write many reviews. It takes a particularly terrible or outstanding experience for me. Do not go to New West Physicians. At least this location. I was referred there for a very personal/sensitive issue, so I was already a little anxious. It started with the very rude front desk lady. She gasped and gave me a very dirty look when I told her I had filled out most of the pre-patient paperwork, but had a question on a few sections. She saw that I had printed the forms on both sides of the paper and gave another sigh of disappointment and said "we cant accept this". Ok. Sorry. Then she asked if I had a co-pay, and I wasnt sure so I said "Im not sure". She said "What?" in a very annoyed tone. So I repeated. Then she literally said "You dont know if you have a co-pay?". "Uh, no I just said I dont know". It was a new insurance plan for me and I honestly didnt know or forgot. Its usually on the card, but it wasnt for mine. Then I finally see the doc who (was clearly in a rush) walked in right away and asked a few canned questions about where Im from, if I like it, blah blah. Which is fine, but when she incorrectly repeats back my answers a few minutes later, it tells me she really wasnt listening. Was almost awkward. My particular issue wasnt even really addressed, we sped through a series of questions, she gave some generic responses that didnt address my questions about the meds in question, she forgot I said I would like a physical so I reminded her of that, and just generally felt like she wanted to get to the next patient to make more money. Ive never felt more like a number, getting rushed in and rushed out. Then on the way out, I was asked again if I have a co-pay, which I still didnt know the answer to. I honestly feel more valued when I go through a transaction at King Soopers or Sprouts. Ive heard this isnt specific to this location, but just beware. Probably the worst doctors office experience Ive ever had.

I highly recommend New West Physicians Family Medicine of Highlands Ranch. I’ve been a patient of my Primary Care Physician there since 1995, first Dr. Barry Schneidewind, and then Dr. Brian Beezley since 2004. My experience has been altogether positive. Easy to schedule convenient appointments, I’m always treated kindly, respectfully and with good humor, and the care I receive is completely competent. I trust Dr. Beezley’s insights about any of my medical issues -- I greatly value that trusting relationship. He researches questions I have and is oriented to determine root cause of symptoms. He has a pragmatic, common sense approach to medications and health care overall. Maybe most importantly, Dr. Beezley is very frank with me and clear in communications, and is very responsive to my email questions, always same day or next day—a service I rely on gratefully.

I made an appointment with them and confirmed it at 9am, they told me to come at 8:30 to fill out paperwork. Knowing that it usually takes longer I showed up at 8:20 to fill it out. At 9:20 I am still waiting in the waiting room, I ask the front desk about my appointment only to have them tell me my appointment was at 9:15 and that I would be called in shortly. I told them that I had been told that my appointment was at 9 but decided to wait patiently. It was 9:40 and I still hadnt seen the doctor yet. It is very unorganized. I recommend you go elsewhere for your doctors appointments.

This place is a patient factory. Just got a call from them 20 minutes before my appointment letting me know that my appointment was incorrectly scheduled and that check-ups were being scheduled for October. When I told her I was already on my way she said "yes thats why I wanted to call you as soon as possible to let you know" (Ive had this appointment for more than a month). No offer to see me despite their mistake. Go here if you want to be treated like a number. If you want good service and a doctor who cares about your health as much as their paycheck GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
