I have had nothing but great experiences over the 4 years I have been going here until recently. I brought my glasses in to be adjusted, which I have always done in the past without issue. When I got them adjusted this last time, I placed them in the case and did not wear them until the next day. I noticed that there was some blurring when I wore them the next day, and there appeared to be a "spot" on the right lens. The also appeared to be a long scratch running down the left lens and the left lens now sticks out past the frame. I brought them back, and basically was told that what I am seeing is scratches and "maybe in time my eyes will adjust and get used to the scratches", scratches that were not there until I got them adjusted, scratches I did not cause as this was not an issue prior to me going in. I inquired about getting new glasses since there is no way I can adjust to the way these issues are impacting my vision (causing daily migraines if I wear them) and the lens alone will cost close to $400 and the insurance I have gives me nothing towards them. I wish I had never gone in now to get them adjusted.

I learned about this location from a list of in-network options from my insurance company. Pros: Everyone is genuinely friendly and helpful. From start to finish youre given a timeline of what the appointment will entail. Overall, very calm and peaceful environment. There is a wide array of frames to choose from and no pressure or rush to make a quick selection. Cons: The hours of operation make it difficult to make an appointment, if you have a job that operations the usual 8 to 5. Wednesday appointments seem to book a month in advance. I was not aware/made aware of Saturday appointments until I was making a follow up appointment.

I have been coming to Family Eye Care and Contact Center in Cromwell for several years and have never been disappointed. The staff is pleasant and professional. I never have to wait for more than five minutes and then I am brought into the examining room. My eye exams are very thorough and Dr. Chasse appears to be up on all the newest testing and studies. My entire family are patients there and he started seeing our children at about 3 or 4 years old. I would recommend Family Eye Care and Contact Center to anyone.

Family Eyecare is the best! Dr. Chasse is a very caring, thoughtful person in addition to being an excellent Optometrist. The staff is polite and courteous. I dont mind driving 25 miles to get there, I dont want to go anywhere else.
