Unbelievable! Everyone was real nice but no one ever submitted my bill to the insurance company!! Ever! Something is really wrong here, they say they took my insurance but my insurance company just informed me that they never submitted a claim. So, guess what? Now they just want me to pay over $500 for something my insurance covers...if they would only submit a bill!! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PSYCHOS! Update: My insurance is still trying to work with them to get the bill paid. Colchester Eye Care keeps saying they did everything right and my insurance did everything wrong. Ive had the same insurance for the last 5 years and everyone else was paid correctly! Go figure! Last Update: My insurance was partly at fault because they first treated the bill as out of network. I repeatedly asked them to resubmit the bills and was told over and over again that they did everything correctly. The reason why I did not change the rating is because of they way they treated me, no one would listen to me, and talked over me on the phone. The problem of the amount remains. The collection agency wanted over $500, this is when I contacted my insurance company for help because the Drs office wouldnt help. Colchester Eye Care sent me the bills that were submitted and now, according to them, I only owe just over $300. I just got off the phone with my insurance and was told my responsibility is a different number! I will not say what the amount is, but this could have been taken care of years ago if they listened to me.

When I moved to Colchester, I knew I had to find an optometrist closer to my new home. I figured Id give this local business a chance. Little did I know that Dr. Alexandra Sadanowicz would tell me things about my vision and how to care for my eyes that I had never heard before - and I have been wearing glasses and contacts for about 45 years! I happen to be one of those people who researches various things in my line of work. It is clear to me that this doctor is constantly researching, learning and expanding her knowledge, and she takes the time to communicate that to her patients. Ive never felt a rapport better than this with a medical professional. The office itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and all the personnel strive to make the visitor feel comfortable. The frame selections and the options for anti glare, Transitions, and other choices are explained clearly. The doctors even allowed me a discount offered by a newly opened competitive business. I highly recommend this practice.

Best medical experience you can ever have! The staff is extremely helpful and the doctors are wonderful. Dr. Dempsey will make sure that you are very well taken care of. He cares about his patients and always wants to make sure that each and every patient is accomodated. Buying glasses at the office is made very easy and fun by the staff, and youll be sure to end up with a pair you love. If there is anything you need, the staff of Colchester Eye Care will make it easy. I switched to CEC recently and the difference between my old optometrist and Dr. Dempsey is astounding. He is so patient and kind, and genuinely wants each patient to have the best experience possible. I would absolutely recommend Colchester Eye Care to everyone looking for an extremely positive and easy experience.

I met Dr. Dempsey and his staff when I had an eye care emergency. The Shingles virus erupted around my eye. Improper care could have resulted in severe damage and or possible loss of vision to the eye. Dr. Dempseys wonderful bed side manner gave me a feeling "we" would beat this. He treated me with great care and respect for the pain I was feeling. He made himself available to me 24/7 so he could monitor any changes in my condition, good or bad. Im OK now and I believe without him I would not have been. Doctors like Dr. Thomas Dempsey are the quality we hope for but seldom find in our health care providers. Thank You Doctor! Did I mention that he and his staff maintain a beautiful, clean, bright, organized and very comfortable office.

I was hesitant making an appointment for an eye examine. Mainly because the last office I went to made me feel like I was on an assembly line. However, the staff is so friendly and professional at Colchester Eye Care; I quickly felt reassured. Dr. Wedeking actually came out to the waiting room introduced herself! Then she went through my health information and completed the entire exam herself. Then while I was looking around at the glasses, Dr. Dempsey greeted me as if I were a friend. I just cannot say enough about this office between their professionalism and friendliness! Since I went both my sons, have had their eyes examined with the same great care. I would highly recommend Colchester Eye Care!!

Dr. Dempsey is awesome! My daughter has had double vision her entire life. We have taken her to many doctors including optometrists, an ophthamologist, and behavioral optometrists. Most explained there was nothing that could be done and one even said she was making it all up. During her first visit to Colchester Eye Care, Dr. Dempsey prescribed glasses that allowed her to see without double vision for the first time in her life! Not having to live with and compensate for her double vision will be a life-changer for her in all aspects of her life, especially college! Thank you Dr. Dempsey and Colchester Eye Care!!!
