The epitome of why People hate Doctors. Sadly I used to like this place, and have been going since I was a child. Dr. Levine is fantastic, and this one star review is by no means a reflection of the medical staff. However, after returning home from Oklahoma City where I was employed on temporary assignment. I picked up a 3rd shift job, this as some may know makes doing day to day chores very hard (as everything cuts into your sleep schedule). I made an appointment for March 23rd, and everything was fine until the office staff decided to move the appointment to the 31st which they did and notified me of the change via voicemail. Mind you I never approved this, they simply made the change and told me about it later on. I tried to call during my waking hours but received a answering service (among the things they dont believe in are getting approval and voice mail). This ended up costing me 75 dollars for missing an appointment that I never made. I began receiving bills in the mail for it, I did not pay them cause its total BS. I called the number on the bill and got the fee waived. Got reassigned and left town. This brings me to November 2016. I try to make another appointment, and they want to charge me 75 dollars again for missing that march 31st appointment that I never approved. I attempt to work it out with them again and nope this time it stands. Their administration is garbage, Ill be going to the walk in clinic while I find a new Drs office.

Two stars were only earned for the convenience factor as MHS has a very effective networking system in place so that if you attend a walk-in or emergency room, everyone stays in the loop. They were also very thorough to follow up after visits outside the primary office, etc. The following information is based on being a patient at this office for over 2 years - not from one single experience. The billing department of this establishment is exceptionally rude and not helpful in the least. During my time here I saw two different doctors. One of whom became increasingly more difficult to see after her office days went down to 2 a week. I was almost denied a prescription refill due to an exam that had been postponed about 4 times do to HER schedule changes. She was judgmental and did not make me feel very "cared for". When I finally gave up trying to see her, I saw another doctor who I thought for sure would be better - but nope, she was worse. Even MORE judgmental and extremely condescending in her tone. My husband also saw the same doctor and had very similar opinions of her. This is definitely the kind of office where you feel more like a dollar sign than a person. They have very little concern for your wellbeing - they only want your money.

Rude, unprofessional, uneducated about company policies We recently went to pick up our medical records to go elsewhere. The staff are rude and not helpful. Kelly, a receptionist, immediately dismissed me to a manager without attempting to assist me. Bonnie, a manager, state that it is company policy that they cannot reschedule appointments for new patients who miss their appointment. She states this is a Middlesex policy that is supposed to be communicated to all new patients. She then checked call notes and stated that the receptionist did educate us on this. I ALWAYS have a pen and paper when I set doctor appointments to ensure that I document the right time and any additional instructions they may provide me. The receptionist DID NOT educate me on the policy nor did they provide ANYTHING IN WRITING about the policy (ie. sending us a letter in the mail, directing us to visit a website link with the policy, etc). Bonnie even directed me to the New Patient Package available on the website but it still DOES NOT STATE this company policy. So they just turned away patient because their receptionist "claimed" she did something she obviously didnt.

I called at 8:00am and was able to schedule an 8:30 appointment for acute ear pain, which was great. When I arrived, I was told that my appointment was at 8:15 and I may not be seen. I assured the receptionist that my appointment was at 8:30 but she just said "Im not sure what happened." I checked my email and showed the receptionist that I had received an email confirming the 8:30 appointment, to which she replied, "Im not sure what happened." A young man checked in for a 9:00 physical and was taken in at 8:45. A woman walked in for a flu shot and was taken in at 8:50. My appointment, confirmed by email, for acute ear pain was scheduled for 8:30 and I was taken in at 9:00. I waited in the exam room until 9:50 to be seen. Not a good experience.

Ive gone to the Middletown location for about 3-4 years now and Ive never had a great experience. The only reason I stayed was for one dr. who left recently. I just had to go in for a vertigo issue and the Dr I had was nasty and made me feel like she was searching for a problem. The only person I felt that was decently nice was the nurse. Most of the doctors are foreign now and not that I have any issue with that but they are very pushy and rude. The receptionists could use a dose of happiness and pleasant vibes because every time Ive gone in theyre monotoned and rude. I will be switching locations.

This place is a JOKE, they were my primary care for several years and almost everytime i called to see a doctor, I was urged to schedule an appointment for many days later, even if I was very sick. I called to schedule my yearly physical and was told 2 months was the soonest I could be seen, whats the point of having a primary Doctor if you cant ever see them (or even get one on the phone). On the other hand the local clinic can give you a physical any day of the week and if you are sick you can go and see a Doctor, imagine that....

Very helpful, pleasant staff. Comfortable and clean modern office - relaxing atmosphere. They use technology to make everything run very efficiently. Need blood-work? Walk around the building to the lab and all of your information is transferred there electronically - seamless. Absolutely no complaints.
