Absolutely disgusting lack of care. Staff is negligent and doctors are too overburdened to care. Ive had the unfortunate displeasure of being here once and it has left me with a complete distrust of the mental health field. Oh, and once youve been here, good luck having Yale New Haven Hospital take your seriously for anything else that you may end up there for. Once its in your record that youve been to this hellhole, it follows you and no one in the Yale system will treat you with dignity or respect.

I loved the staff, the rules seemed very fair & enforced for our protection and I felt safe during my stay. While the staff is full of different personalities, I can assure you that all of them treat you like a human being! I dont know what its like in the other unit (with the adults), but the unit with the adolescents was definitely comfortable and I can even say I enjoyed my time there. Thank you!!
