Went to the ER for a bite on my foot. It was severely swollen to the point I could barely walk. I got there they check me in and I get triaged right away. They bring me back and sit me in a chair. This was very uncomfortable because my leg was hanging. The Dr comes in examins my foot. I tell her I thought it was a spider bite. It happen to me before and they gave me antibiotics and sent me home. The swelling kept getting worse, had to come back to the hospital and have foot surgery. I told the doctor Im a hard stick. They needed to use the vein finder or ultrasound to find the vein because they always put a PICC line. Her answer was we are not doing any of that here. They sent in 2 nurses who could not find a vein. None of them tried to find the vein finder or ultrasound. They instead gave me a percozet, a steroid and antibiotic shot on my thigh and sent me home. This is a horrible hospital. My thigh were the shot was given is swollen and big bump that hurts like hell. The nurse comes in asking me how is my pain I told her is the same. She tells me well now you will find out which hurts worse the left or right thigh or the foot. What kind or hospital ignores the patient advise. I know my body. I know how hard it is to get a vein. They flat out ignored me for hours left me waiting for an hour for discharge papers which I got tired of waiting and went home. Dont go to this ER. You get better treatment at Columbia hospital.

We were in the ER on Saturday the 5th of August. We arrived at 6:30 pm and the secretary asked my wife three questions: her name, birth date and did she want to be seen. She had fallen at home, banged her head and had a laceration over her left eyebrow which had bled quite a bit. It appeared to need stitches. She was holding a towel with ice to her wound. There were no other patients in the ER. Of course we had no idea what was going on behind the waiting room. After 30 minutes we asked how long it would be and the sec. said a few minutes since we were next. After another 20 minutes we left. What a demonstration of what an ER shouldnt be. No triage, no interest in the patient story or condition. After 30 years as a practicing physician my rec. is to shut down and let patients go elsewhere before you have a catastrophie!!! All of the doctors in the er are quacks and they are not well equipped for emergency services I do not recommend going here in the case of an emergency however their secondary care services as well as maternity services are wonderful
