More I originally went to Columbia Dental in New Milford, because I needed Dental work done. When I initially walked into the office I was shocked that the Health Department even allowed the place open. They have all of there Dentists on a rotating shift, and will schedule as many appointment as possible to milk the insurance company. The first Dentist I saw was a nice older gentleman, but I was surprised at how unsanitary the facility was. There was no Glass separating the Reception area from the Dental area there was a big blood stain on the carpet. After 3 visits of 1 cavity at a time, I explained to the Dentist O.D Weiss, that I did not want any "Silver Fillings" in my mouth. The last time I had got "silver fillings" I got heavy metal poisoning and had to go through chelation however the dentist used an amalogram filling on my back molar, he also had no dental assistant and made me hold the suction device myself. At one point he hit my tongue with a drill, and I called the office because of the pain I was in however they could not get a hold of Weiss. After being in so much pain also where the dentist put a Silver filling in my mouth (I found out they do this to save money) I decided to go to another dentist at which point they discovered the reason I was in pain for the last two months is because the "Silver Filling" Broke. I now constantly have the taste of metal in my mouth, and need to go back to Caring Dental in New Milford which is far nicer sanitary etc. I also forgot to add that at one point the dentist numbed up my mouth for a root canal, and took up my day only to not perform it because an emergency patient came in. The ladies who work reception are very nice, but this particular dentist seems to be milking the insurance system and has no regards to his patients in my opinion. The older Dentist with the beard is nice though.I cannot believe the health department has not shut them down yet.

I had to switch dentists due to my insurance change . This is the first place Im afraid to go back for teeth cleaning . He was rough , he saw me in pain but didnt stop, he could tell I was getting annoyed I kept rolling my eyes , and his assistant knew I was also in pain . Neither of them asked if I needed a break I wanted to leave in the middle of it ,after my teeth cleaning my gums were dark red with blood spots in them from bleeding . I never came from a teeth cleaning with my mouth so sore ! And my gums took at least a week to go back to normal . Switching dentists immediately. It was a nightmare and the worst pain ...

The receptionists are very nice and easy to work with. The reason I am using Columbia Dental is I am on Husky D insurance. Not to many dentists take Husky insurance. The Dental Assistants are awesome. I went in to have a cleaning done, that went well. I was very disappointed that I never received a toothbrush, dental floss, toothpaste and Mouthwash. I thought after every cleaning everyone should receive those items or any combination of those items. I Do not have much to complain about. The whole office looks nice and clean. Thank god for the Hot Dental Assistant and the cute girls at the receptionist desk.

I am pleased to say the dental practice has cleaned up its hygiene and the staff is much better. I still have a broken tooth which I am scheduling to have pulled, but it seems they are getting there act together. Dr. Weiss offered to kill the nerve, but unfortunately the owner would not allow him because of something to do with state insurance. I believe if they did this as a courtesy to have me re-write my review I would be much more satisfied, because being in pain waiting to have a broken tooth pulled is not cool.
