Dr. Kessler of Dental Associates Newtown office became my dentist 16 years ago when I broke a tooth on a piece of whole grain bread. The receptionist fit me in quickly and Dr. Kesslers calm manner set me at ease immediately. He gave me several options for the treatment plan rather than move ahead without a discussion. At this point, I recommended that my husband, who had horrible dental experiences as a child and was still a real scaredy-cat, make an appointment as he had been in need of dental care for a while. His assessment of Dr. Kessler and Dental Associates was very similar to mine…gentle, conservative, knowledgeable, communicative. When the time came, I made appointments with Dental Associates’ Pediatric practice for my children as well. My children have had wonderful experiences there, twice a year, and have grown up unafraid of going to the dentist which was our goal. Both children were in need of braces so, naturally, we made the first appointment with Dr. Gilman. He took a very conservative approach to their treatment plan and even recommended that we wait for one of my children to grow a little more to see if he could skip the ortho treatment entirely. The office is great with fitting a payment plan with a budget too. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. They will always try to fit you in if there is a need without making you feel like they have to move a mountain to do it. I can’t recommend this practice highly enough…I would give them 10 stars if I could! The entire practice is top notch. My family has found their dentists for life. Yours could too.

Im using the same review I wrote for Yelp, because there really is nothing else to say. I used Dental Associates way back in the 90s when I lived on Long Island. They were referred to me and I was so happy I drove 2 hours each way! Now that Im in CT and only 15 minutes away it wouldnt matter if they moved 2 hours away from me... my husband and I would still go to Dr. David Kessler and his incredible staff. They are professional, personable, and they CARE. Hard to find a group of professionals like them anywhere these days. We couldnt be happier and send all our friends and family to them. You wont regret using Dr. Kessler at Dental Associates at the Newtown offices.

Thoroughly recommend Dr. Kessler (Newtown office). Been putting some cavities of for a while and finally got around to addressing them. Extremely happy with the result. After bitewings he took the time to explain a treatment plan; why things needed doing etc... Had the first of a couple of appointments today. Very thorough; photographs throughout so I could see the work as it progressed, taking the time to explain everything. Absolutely brilliant! Filled teeth look amazing! Almost like new! Added bonus; hes a big Stones fan! Great music during my treatment! (Theyll let you play anything you like though. Dont be put off if youre not a Stones fan LOL!)

Dr. Allison Byun has been my dental angel since moving to Newtown. I required some filling work and Dr. Byun worked with me to master my fear of needles throughout the course of my treatment. I cant say I like getting shots now, but Im infinitely more at ease with Dr. Byun. She takes the time to get to know her patients, genuinely cares about them, and puts them at ease throughout treatment - her soothing voice is my favorite. Im very glad to had found Dr. Byun and Im looking forward to a long and healthy (especially my teeth!) relationship with her.

My son had his first appointment at Dental Associates yesterday. He is a very anxious child so I didnt know how he would behave. I have to say that all of the staff from the front desk to the doctor were fabulous! They were so kind to both of us. They completely calmed his nerves and he had a great check up without any crying or resistance! Dr. Laura explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. He does have to go back for a procedure, so I hope that his experience will be just as good.

I love Dr. Renzi & Donna! Yesterday I had just Donna helping me out with some impressions and she is just the nicest, sweetest person. She makes you feel comfortable, she helps with anything you need... shell even hold your hand for a shot of novicane in the gums! Lol they are a great team and I wouldnt go to any other dentist! Dr. Renzi always walks you out and shakes your hand at the end. Very polite! Thank you both!!

Im not a fan of the new offices. While I understand its all new and fresh, which is great, I dont feel the personal touch the way I used to. Its more about processing people through. Im not sure the greater scheduling flexibility is worth it for me. The dentist came in to review mid cleaning and was already done and out in the hall when I asked if everything looked okay.

Reception was polite , pleasant and accommodating. My wait was less than 2 minutes. The doctors and hygentisys were professional, personnable , courtiest attentive and competent. Procedures were explained prior and the evaluation and outcome were also explained in detail allowing and any related question was answered thoroughly and truthfully. D

I sadly have neglected my teeth over the years but thanks to Dr. Kessler I am Smiling and more importantly chewing happily. The staff has always been very courteous even with me having to cancel an appointment last minute.
