There needs to be a ZERO STARS option!! First let me say, I am very patient and understanding with these places, they take the state husky health insurance, so of course I know that sometimes the caliber of people that I will be sharing the waiting room with arent the greatest. Nonetheless, the DOCTOR herself is very rude, uneducated, and judgemental. She told me I need to stop feeding my 4 year old (at 48lbs and 48inches) fried food and sugary drinks. I have no clue where she made that assumption, but I do strongly believe it was based off stereotypical racial profiling! Amongst other issues Ive had with the DOCTOR, she is has no sense of respect of ones time! A typical wait in an empty office for the first appointment of the day should take no longer than 10 minutes. While the office may have opened at 9am or 9:30am, the DOCTOR did not show her face by 10:25, for her 10am appointment! Complete disregard for others time, no respect at all. I know I am not the first parent to deal with her nonsense, and I wont be the last, but you have been fairly warned by a fair and impartial judge!

A Property Preservation

Ive had this doctor since my son was born 13 years ago and Ive never had a problem with this doctor. Its odd to read the bad reviews here about her. Every doctor knows that insurance turn times on payments is NEVER one week so that first review about the office sending someone to collections in just 1 week is bull. The first bill they mail you takes more then a week to receive. I dont believe that review at all. All good doctors will tell parents to keep kids away from to many sweets and sodas do you know why? If you dont know the answer to that question already your hopeless. DR. Venkathesh has always been a good DR. with my son and I will continue to see her in future.

BEWARE! This office was assigned to us for our newborn check-ups after we delivered at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. They only gave my insurance agency one week from the date that St. Francis submitted the paperwork to pay the bill before they sent it to collections!! The secretary at East Hartford Pediatrics was friendly and kind to me and gave me no reason to worry. I am a social worker and my husband is a dentist. We have always paid our bills on time. Now I have a rude collections person hounding me and Im trying to deal with this nightmare with a new baby! Not to mention the potential fallout to my credit rating.

I have had my children here since my son was 1 and he is now 8 and my daughter was born and she is now 4. I always felt the MDs approach was fine but This year my daughter kept squinting her eyes and I made an apt for her to be seen and told her my concern. They did an exam and said she was fine. A month went by and still she was squinting I took her to an ophthalmologist who told me she has needed glass for a while...I will be changing her MD since I feel this is unacceptable.

Love Dr.Venkatesh. She was my pediatrician growing up and now shes my childs and I wouldnt trust her with anyone else.
