Today was my first time at pet paradise but my puppies second visit here. Our appointment was scheduled for 4:30, but I was called and told that I could come in early around 3:45, so that is what I did. I showed up at 3:45 with 4 kids (one a baby) and two 4 month old puppies. I was not called back to a room until 4:35, the tech only took the weight and temperature of one dog and then the Vet did not come in until 4:54. The baby was crying, the kids were beyond restless from being there so long, the dogs were nervous and fidgety, and I am told that she is sorry for the wait but she is the only vet. I had to tell her before she gave the second puppy his shot that he has not even been weighed or checked yet. My issues are these. 1) no one ever bothered to let me know she was running behind, not once. (A little courtesy goes a long way) 2) if she was running behind, why did they call me in 45 minutes early 3) Not only did they neglect to do the checks on puppy #2 before the vet came in, they also forgot to give him the dewormer that they charged me very well for and had to give it to him in the parking lot 4) I had some real concerns about one of my puppies that I wanted to discuss, needed to be shown how to clean their ears, and needed to discuss heartworm meds and procedures, but by the time she came in I was so stressed out and nerves wrecked that I couldnt have a calm conversation with her so I didnt even try. I even told her I was too stressed out and feeling too anxious at that point to discuss concerns. So I waited a total of an hour and 9 minutes for 5 minutes worth of an appt that cost me $150 that, in my opinion, was not performed in the most competent manner. I was blown away that they would even charge me full price after causing so much stress. I honeslty dont know why I didnt just walk out but I wish I would have. I received better and cheaper service at the SPCA when we had our cat.

I love the staff here. They remember us every time we come in and because I have a dog with anxiety, they take extra care to help her be more comfortable. Both my pups have received loving care from Dr. Ortiz and her staff as well as have enjoyed the boarding the hospital offers. I especially recommend Dr. Ortizs Chinese medicine veterinary services, I have seen firsthand the amazing results with not only one of my dogs but also many of her other clients. I truly feel she cares about each and every one of the pets she takes care of and the best part about our trips here is I never feel rushed and she takes the time to make sure you understand all options and can ask questions. I never feel like the staff is pressuring me to pay for services we dont actually need. I couldnt be more pleased. As a dog owner my whole life, I can honestly say Im happy we live close enough to have our animals be in Dr. Ortizs care.

Our family highly recommends Dr. Ortiz and their staff. We have had our Weims since the old building. We have 5 Weimaraners some of which are rescues. Dr. Ortiz brought 2 of our Weims back from Wobblers and another from Rocky Mountain Tick Fever. Recently we had to make difficult decisions on two of our Weims - one had bone cancer and the other a cancerous mass. Dr. Ortiz gave us well informed information to make decisions. Dr. Ortiz and her staff are compassionate, professional, and go above and beyond. The Kollers highly recommend Dr. Ortiz at Pet Paradise!

I liked that the staff was friendly, answered any and all my questions. Very clear and flexible with treatments for my pet. Dr. Ortiz was amazing and I was very comfortable with her and her tech examining my cat. She did not pressure me into any treatments but explained why it would benefit my cat. Eric, the technician was gentle and caring. He did not hesitate to answer my questions about the treatment and medications no matter how many times I asked. I would definitely recommend Pet Paradise of Apopka to my friends and family.

We needed to see her for the first time when our kitty had an infection.She got us in the same day we called and in the 30+ years of treating our animals with veterinarians,I can say she was probably the most gentle,caring, informative and interacted with our kitty to make her feel less stressed than any vet weve ever treated with. We have found a new vet for life!Thanks Dr.Ortiz!

I love Pet Paradise Animal Hospital because Dr. O truly cares about her patients. It also makes me feel at ease when I visit because I feel at home with the staff and in the facility. I love this place. The staff are friendly and I love the fact that they know me by name and my pets name Gemma! Dr.Ortiz is the most lovable veterinarain . Best thing is she also is a veterinarian acupuncturists , My dog had it done and it has helped her out so much . Thank you for being the best place i can take my family member Gemma.

Great people at the counter and great service. Our dog its not easy to handle and she used to get aggressive at her last vet office just as soon she figured out were she was. Here they love her and definitely know how to handle her ,she is not aggressive anymore at visits but its still a handful but they like her anyway.

Best service! I have been to many and these folks bring service to a new level. They can deal with difficult animals, like mine who bites, and they still love on her anyway! They provide sedation for her haircuts thank goodness! Best place around for sure!
