I was very dissatisfied with the service that I received at Dental Options Aventura location. It started over the phone when I booked my appointment. When collecting my information, the administrator asked "cash pay?" I am not sure why she assumed that I did not have dental insurance, but I found her assumption offensive. I gave her my insurance information, and communicated very clearly what service I was interested in (deep cleaning). I advised her that I was from out of state, but that I had a printed copy of my dental record, and offered to forward it to their office prior to my appointment. I was told it wasnt necessary, and to just bring it with me. Twenty-four hours prior to my appointment I received a confirmation call, and was asked to arrive to my appointment 30 minutes early to fill out new client paperwork. I should have been told that when I made the appointment as I was driving from 30 minutes away. I advised the administrator where I was driving from, and told her I would do my best. When I arrived to my appointment, the staff at the front desk were pleasant and professional. The appointment began to go down hill once I was escorted to the dental chair. A woman, who I assumed was the dentist because she did not introduce herself, asked me what brought me in (clearly she did not read any of my paperwork). I explained the situation and the service I wanted. I was then asked to request my dental records from my previous dentist (no problem, that makes sense). I called my previous dentist to request my records, and emailed them to dental options immediately. After receiving the records, she advised me she would get the dentist. When the dentist came in, she asked me what brought me in. For the third time, I explained that I was from another state, and what service I wanted. She spent 5 minutes with me to check my teeth (no periodontal checks) and made her recommendations. After the dentist left, yet another person, who did not introduce herself, came in to share the treatment plan with me, and review my financial obligations. I was very surprised that the dentists recommendations were very different from my previous dentists, and that they did not include the service I specifically came in for. Finally, a fourth person came in. She introduced herself as the dental hygienist, and advised me that there was not enough time to complete my cleaning, and that I would need to reschedule. Clearly, I will not be back. Conclusion: While I am an avid believer in assertive communication, I was too exhausted from a very long workday to share my experience and frustrations constructively. Therefore, this post serves to share my experience, and offer my recommendation. Please communicate with each other, and openly and honestly with your patients, otherwise it makes for a very frustrating and unacceptable experience. Finally, introduce yourself before you talk to the patient. I do not know why I had to talk to four different people, but 50% of the time I did not know who I was talking to or why.

I have been coming to this dental office for the past 5 years and I have had the best care and treatment. But the last visit that i had was horrible to say the least. I went in for a retreatment for a prior root canal done 5 years ago in another dental office. The area had a huge abcess since the infection was not addressed sooner. So the root canal i had done with the endodontist at this office wasnt bad the after pain was horrific. I had an antibiotic and ibuprofen prescribed. That night i didnt sleep well because of the throbbing pain. The following day my crown came loose I called the office which I got an appointment the same day to have it recemented. Which was great but I told the staff that Im having trouble sleeping because of the pain and I need the doctor to prescribe me something stronger. At this point I new the antibiotics and the ibuprofen werent working because this has happened to me before and I was given strong antibiotics and painkillers then. One of the front staff said the doctors were at lunch and that one of them will give me a call, did I get a call back NOOOO. That same staff told the dentist assistant that doctors cant call in prescriptions for certain drugs I new then that most likely I wouldnt get a call but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and didnt bother calling them back. That night I had the worse night of my life only slept 3hrs because of the on and off pain. The following morning I went to the office and told the front staff of my situation. I was seen right away by the general dentist she drained the abcess pocket that was created and prescribed me different antibiotics and stronger painkillers. So after 2 phone calls and 3 trips to the office on the same week my request was granted. So of course Im not happy by the way the staff handled my situation but they did resolve the issue. Overall I rate this office a 3 star because they do get things done.

This place is a rip off. The doctor didnt even look at my mouth only the X-rays. I had to tell her that I had a cavity in one of my wisdom teeth that she didnt even noticed in the X-rays.Then (after 1 week or more) I received the cost for all the procedures I needed to get done. I have insurance and is not the best but after receiving the procedures prices I immediately noticed they were totally overcharging and my insurance discount was not applied even thought I was told it was. I immediately contacted my insurance and provided the medical codes Dental Options had for the procedures I needed for my treatment plan. My insurance told me that they were not accurate and were extremely overpriced. I work in the medical field and I know how things work in a medical practice including billing and coding so luckily I have the ability recognize this disrespectful and abusive treatment to patients who need care. This business is only a business not a medical office where you should expect professional medical attention, respect, and honest medical advise. Educate your self and always make sure you are paying what you are suppose to pay, double check with your insurance using the dental codes for the procedures they advise for you. By reading previews reviews I am not the only one who is gone trough this issue with DENTAL OPTIONS.

Great Office! My experience at Dental Options has been fantastic. From the first day, I walked in to meet Cynthia the Treatment Coordinator, who helped me feel at ease the moment she told me I needed several thousands of dollars to get my mouth in shape. At first, I resisted until I realized I had to have this work done. Cynthia immediately found my "Care Credit", account and informed me that I could use this. I was so relieved to now have a payment plan in place. I next met Dr. Gonzales, who checked my gums for any problems, glad to report nothing major and Dr. Apelman. As soon as we all decided on a treatment plan Dr. Rosenstein took over. I had several crowns, two teeth pulled, cleanings, and finally the most beautiful Bridge made. All the office is friendly, helpful and always ready with a smile. I want to thank, Yoel, Yana, Nyla and all the staff for supporting me through a very tough time. I couldnt be happier with my beautiful new smile and healthy mouth. I would recommend this office to everyone; it is clean, professional, all the staff is kind, open, loving and most of all, there for you!. Thanks everyone for the last three months we had fun.. See you for my cleaning in a few months. Miss you already.
