I want to sincerely thank Dr. Malnati and his excellent staff for giving life back to my best friend. My dog Jimmy, is and has been a very active English pointer from the day we got him. During the last 8 years his energy level has helped me back from a debilitating condition. He has been out every day for at least a half hour or more run and then another 4 or 5 mile of walking me to help me overcome high blood pressure and potential stroke. Making sure I stuck with my plan. About 3 months ago he started to run on three legs and basically would not put any weight on his rear right leg. I took him to my regular vet (Dr. Howell) who took x-rays and found an ACL tear. He referred me to Dr. Malnati for surgery. I had known Dr. Malnati for some time. His reputation, since I met him first back in Atlanta 13 years ago, was impeccable. If I had to trust anyone with my best friend, I knew I could count on him. After explaining to me Jimmys injury and what it would take to heal and rehabilitate him, my wife and I decided to go ahead with the surgery. And boy, are we ever so grateful for the results and coaching we received during Jimmys recovery and rehabilitation. Jimmy is now, 8 weeks later, fully mobile. I am, as Dr. Malnati suggested taking Jimmy out on a step by step gradient of increased activity. He is walking at least 2-3 miles with occasional short runs during the week so we can rebuild his muscles and restore his tone. I can say without a doubt he is one happy dog now that he can use all 4 legs. I know that this dog can be a handful. His high energy level and reactiveness can be nerve racking at times. But Dr. Malnati and his staff were ever so concerned and allowed me the opportunity to assist, when needed, to help calm Jimmy down. I would highly recommend Dr. Malnati to anyone whose "best friend" is in need of surgery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving life back to my dog and me. I will be eternally grateful. One night, we came home and our 10 year old Boston terrier, Yogi, could not put his back leg down. We took him to our general veterinarian who took x-rays and diagnosed him with a torn ACL (CCL). They estimated an extremely expensive procedure with an extremely long recovery time. We were devastated! As we researched our options, we found the answer to our prayers: Dr. Malnati. Several people recommended Dr. Malnati’s practice, and we are incredibly grateful to have the privilege to work with he and his staff. They are truly incredible. They provide exceptional care at a reasonable price. From the moment we stepped into the office, they treated Yogi, our two year-old son, and us with kindness and compassion. Dr. Malnati explained everything clearly and carefully. He answered all of our questions and made us feel comfortable with Yogi’s surgical procedure and recovery. Everyone at the office genuinely cares about the animals they heal. Yogi felt at home, and he even looked forward to his follow up appointments. Surgery for pets can be both emotionally and financially draining. However, our experience with Dr. Malnati took away this strain. Dr. Malnati made this an exceptional experience. He provided Yogi with a superior surgical experience at a reasonable cost. We all looked forward to visiting the office and seeing our new extended family. As for Yogi’s recovery, you wouldn’t know he was 10 years old or that he had major knee surgery. He is back to himself. He’s carefree as he plays with our younger Boston Terrier. We are so happy and grateful to have many more years with a healthy Yogi. Thank you, Dr. Malnati, for making this such a wonderful experience!

I have a Springer Spaniel/ Dachshund mix whos 5 months old. He recently fell off of the couch and fractured his growth plate in his hind leg. We took him to our regular vet and told us we need to see a specialist about this. So I did my research and found the best reviews about Dr. Malnati. So I set up an appointment for him, when I got the news that he would need surgery and to find out it was going to be $2000, I started crying. What was I going to do, but my dog is my baby and I needed him back to his normal self. Luckily I got approved for care credit and we were able to do the surgery. I kid you not, Max was walking the next day! Sure he had some pain, but after 2 days you wouldnt even had known he had surgery! He went from limping and not being able to run, to being back to his normal crazy puppy self! Im so happy I went with Dr. Malnati. I would truly recommend him to anyone! He is amazing with his patients and his staff is great, too! He gives you his cell number and tells you dont hesitate to call for anything! Im beyond thankful for everything he has done for me and my little Max! -Kaeley&Zon

At home my dog jumped off the love seat at yelped this was the first part of March. I immediately took her to my vet. Dr. Mitchel Bendit that morning. They did x-rays they wanted me to go to specialist. But,Dr Bendit believes its her knee. So I got a appointment immediately with Dr. George Malnati. I brought my dog a Bischon frise (Princess). They looked over the x-rays it was a tear in her acl knee. So Monday we had the surgery 3/7/16. I was a nervous wreck. The Doctor called a few hours later. She did great. So I took her home that afternoon with her leg bandaged up. After a few follow up appointments over the next two months. She is doing great! I had my last appointment this morning 5/9/16. Been a little over two months she is doing fine. The staff, and the Doctor is compassionate, good listener, knowledgeable, and caring. Princess was a handful I know. Probably because she was so nervous. I recommend them highly. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Stacy J. Baker

I cant say enough good things about Dr. Malnati and his staff. My 12 year old shep/lab mix, Onyx, had a melon sized tumor on the inside of her rear right flank. She was having a very difficult time walking and being her active, lively self. Even though the growth wasnt life threatening, it was affecting her quality of life. We consulted with Dr. Malnati and opted to have it removed. The surgery wasnt difficult (according to Dr. Malnati!!) but time consuming. He removed a 7 lbs. fatty tumor, did some wonderful nip/tuck with the excess skin and Onyx was happy through the entire healing process. Imagine, she didnt have to deal with that huge bowling ball hanging off her leg any more! She had her stitches removed today and is as good as new. Thank you Sunset Veterinary Surgery; I have my lovely happy dog back. Joanne Peeck

Firstly, I just want to say that my dog should have died. Dr. Malnati and his tech staff worked a miracle (several actually). My 15 month old chihuahua got ran over by a car. Her pelvis was crushed, leaving her unable to walk at all, one of her legs was completely broken and the other had no feeling in it at all. Dr. Malnati looked at the x-rays and said "Yeah, I can take care of that." That alone gave me so much relief! He was incredibly confident throughout the 2 procedures she had. She is back to her normal self, running around, playing with toys and enjoying life again. She is an amazing dog and she had an amazing surgeon!! I cant thank you and your team enough. You truly worked miracles on my little one! Love you all. Love, Joelle and Lizzie :)
