Curlew Animal Hospital is the BEST! They are amazing and Dr. Smith is EXTREMELY informative. They are interested in doing what is best for your dog AND making sure its what you can afford. They do their best to start with the least invasive but most effective treatment. They have never once pushed or made me feel bad about having to start with the least expensive treatments when necessary. Weve been going to him for about 5 years now and I cannot say enough good things. I have a large dog (120lbs) and they are great with her. They will get down on their knees to her level regardless of where we are in the office. My girl rolls over to show them her tummy every time. Ive never had a dog more excited to go to a vet than my girl and I know its because of Dr Smith and his staff. You can see on their face that they honestly love animals. He doesnt jump on bandwagons of new treatments. He does his research and stays current on whats going on but will never push anything on you. He is patient and honest and takes the time to explain anything and everything. He has gone above and beyond any other vet that weve been to. He has talked me down from a few freak outs over anxiety from previous experiences with other vets. And has never made me feel like a crazy fur-baby mom or stupid for asking questions. He is so patient and takes his time to explain so you understand. He is genuinely interested in the wellness of your pet. I could seriously go on and on (even more than I have) about how amazing they are and how happy I am that we found them. They are just freaking awesome.

It is rare to feel this strongly and passionately in a world that commonly uses exclamation points. You will never meet a more knowledgeable veterinarian, and one who cares so much. You will never meet a support staff so involved and empathetic. I have been a client for 14 years, and 3 dogs.my boys are their boys, they truly feel that way, they are "their kids". They are happy when its great, and their hearts break when yours does. They understand your worries, and respect your wishes. My family is in good hands. Thank you Dr Smith, and Angie, Ashley, Mary, oh I am leaving out 3 support team members....my bad, they are amazing.

well what can i say about this wonderful facility. they are the BEST.the facility is immaculate, the staff are the best. mary , there are not enough wonderful things to say about her. dr. smith cares soooooooo much. it is evident from the moment he walks into the room and says hi. great. the boarding, superb. my phynius is always taken care of. not just taken care of, but really cared about. i cannot say enough about this facility. from the moment you open the door till the time you pick up your beloved pet, you have nothing to worry about. they are the best. oh yes, i did not get paid to say this. judi klubes

Dr. Smith and his staff are fantastic at what they do and I have been so impressed by my experience with them. My poor pup was attacked by some neighborhood dogs over the weekend and I took her in with puncture wounds because she just wasnt herself. The staff at CAH immediately knew what to do and their knowledge and expertise in treating "Stella" was an immense comfort to me. I left feeling like they cared for Stellas well being just as much as I did and theres really nothing more you could ask for from your vet. Thank you, Dr. Smith.

We have taken our cats there for years and now that weve moved 40 minutes away to Tampa, we still drive back to Palm Harbor for Dr. Smith and his staff. You wont find anyone that will care for your animals and help you budget more. When our kitty Tyson was staying there for observation and unfortunately had to be put down, Dr. Smith opened up for us on a Sunday night so we could end his suffering instead of prolonging it. You can definitely feel comfortable bringing your animals here. They are in good hands!

We have taken our fur babies to Dr. Smith since 2001 when we got our Brittany, Pixie. Pixie had hip dysplasia and Dr. Smith and his staff helped relieve our stress about her quality of life. She lived 12 1/2 years and brought us MUCH love and joy. We have another Brittany, Gracie and we continue to go to Curlew Animal Hospital because of the caring, compassion and friendliness for our 4 legged family member and us two legged worry warts!! What a nice experience I made today! Had an Emergency with my cat, a clinic across the street sent me away because they closed an hour after I came, but Curlew Animal Hospital helped my cat which was in pain. They took care of him ( Clyde) even it meant they had to stay 45 minutes longer. Clyde feels a lot better, the Doc was wonderful and I am very happy that I found this place. Most definitely recommending Curlew Animal Hospital! Thank you!

Dr Smith and staff have been taking care of our last two furbabies. Dr Smith always answers phone calls, even way after hours. He takes the time to explain everything thats going on with our baby girl, Elsie. We even get follow-up calls to see how Elsie is doing on her treatment(s). Weve used other veterinarians in the Palm Harbor area, and feel hes the best vet weve found.

I have been taking my dog here for several years and every visit is very pleasant and informative. The staff is very well educated, helpful, and nice. They always do whats best for the patient and help owners who are on a budget. Dr. Smith is always willing to explain and answer any question. I would definitely recommend to anyone. Fantastic place!
