They killed my cat. They gave him toxic doses of antibiotic. I kept going back and the creeps would charge me 61.00 just to ask them about the antibiotic choice and it was destroying my cat. They discontinued his antibiotic finally and sent him home with crystal in his urine (male cat) and said dont worry about it he can dissolve them being on K/D diet and 6.5 ph level of his urine. He needed to be flushed to get the toxicity out of his system. Took him to a specialist and it was just to late..If you love your animals you will contact me for a better bet that I have found. All this place is interested in is your WALLETT and thats all they want. Take notice they act busy when you call them but when you show up very few people there. I have only seen two other clients in there and I went in and out of the office 15 times in 6 weeks........they are nothing more than licensed thieves to take as much of your wallet as possible.......My new vet I adore and If I called my new vet with a question he did NOT charge me for that unlike these fools. The one vet at Animal Hospital of New Port Richey argued with me, I said this a follow up why are you charging 68.00 dollars, his only explanation was he was with us ten minutes and thats his for 10 minute consult. WTH he is a royal thief an abusing my wallet for his gain and abusing the love for my animals...STAY AWAY they killed my cat, I begged and begged and tried to tell this guy I thought the anibiotic was building a toxicity in him.....he said NO HES NOT.....for a mild bladder infection ZENIQUIN is to harsh, thats the big guns of defense against infection......

I would give 5 stars if it was based solely on the people that cared for my animal. They were lovely and I was very impressed with their care. I received a script for flea medication that they did not have in house, unfortunately, but was able to find a reasonable price online (1800petmeds - I heard great things about them). Petmeds faxed the vet and all they had to do was check the approval box and fax it back (something that would take 2 minutes of this womans time) but when I pleaded with "Angela" from the front desk, she refused... saying that it would be too time consuming. She could have literally done it on the time she was on the phone and been done. Now i have to physically mail it which wouldnt be a problem if i wasnt on a tight time limit to get this to them and get it back, wait for it to be prepped & shipped (Im moving in a week and a half & need her protected ASAP - which i explained but she could care less). Im very disappointed with this womans customer service and lack of effort to help someone in need. I guess if youre not paying, they are not interested in going the extra mile. I recommend this clinic for their pet care in office but beware of the headache if you dont buy your meds from them directly.

We have been taking our dogs to Animal Hospital of New Port Richey for several years and have consistently found their service to be outstanding! As the proud owners of 4 dogs and foster parents to numerous others, we have had occasion to visit the doctors and staff of this facility quite often. The professionalism and compassion of each and every member - from the front desk to the physicians themselves cannot be overstated. These folks truly care about the well-being of the animals and their owners. Both Dr. Imburgia and Dr. Curry take the time to explain what they feel is the best course of action for each pet and are always willing to educate the owners as to procedures, options, and therapies. The knowledge and experience that Dr. Imburgia and Dr. Curry have, combined with a true love for what they do, makes for an exceptional veterinary experience. I would be remiss if I did not also mention that their technicians are the BEST in their field. I am very happy to highly recommend Animal Hospital of New Port Richey and am equally pleased to be able to take my pets to them!

The entire staff at Animal hospital of New Port Richey, is the cream of the the crop, the best of the best! Being an animal lover and dog owner for over 40yrs., the care they receive has always been a priority to me. I moved to Florida less than a year ago with my 10yr. old "little one" in tow. I knew no one, and my realtor referred me to this hospital that he brings his two dogs to. After making the initial appointment for Shai back then, until the present time, I cannot say enough about the love and care she has received, no matter the issues. She gets so excited when I mention where were going, that I cant imagine a better testimonial than that! From medical care, to purchasing her "special" food, preventative meds, etc. (and her favorite healthy treats), along with monthly nail trims, she manages to see her "friends" regularly, while remaining healthy and happy. Peace of mind, with excellent loving care, is a wonderful thing!!

Weve been going to Dr. Joe for over 20 years. Over those years hes treated our three dogs and three cats. (one cat and one dog at this time). His staff are always friendly and loving. They take their time with us and make sure the animals are comfortable as well as making sure we understand everything that is going on with our pets. The offices are clean, staff is incredible and we love Dr. Joe and how he takes care of our pets. Last year we found a stray Husky and we took him to Animal Hospital of New Port Richey and, luckily, the dog had a chip. The staff tracked down the owners and put us in touch with them so we could return their dog. As long as we live in this area and have pets, Dr. Joe will be the one to take care of them.

i brought my two cats here for a yearly check up. they spent so much time with me and my babies and did so much! that staff is extremely knowledgeable. they provided a lot of useful information (diet, anxiety control, bathing techniques, urination issues, scratching issues, etc) and told me that if i ever had any questions i could call because they all have cats of their own. i left feeling like a better pet owner. you can tell that they love animals. the price is very fair. the people are so personable and kind. the place is clean and smells good. phone etiquette is amazing. i am really happy with the care that my animals had and will continue to go back. i have never seen anything like that with any other vet!

I first brought in my dog due to an abscess and was told that he needed surgery to remove the infection..... I explained that I could not afford that and he did work with me but, however, each follow up visit was a minimum of $100 and there were four of those and the surgery was well over $300. Took him in again, less than a year, and again the bill was over $200 and they did not address the "infection" in his eye, when I called to get him seen again (less than 2 weeks) I was told that I would have to pay another office visit of $60 ( should have been a follow up visit)..... I immediately called another vet and within two days my dogs eye infection was cleared and he was back to normal.
