This has been the worst experience I have ever had with my dogs! I took they in Feb. to have all their shots and heartworm tests done. I was told by them that ! could pick up their medications at Walmart when I was done.When they were doing the heartworm test they asked me if I wanted it for six months or a year and I said 1 YEAR!!! When I was done I asked them how much the sentinel was in Walmart.They then said that Walmart does not sell it and told me to go to the SPCA on congress! I went to the SPCA on congress and after waiting for over 30 minutes in line was told that they do not sell it there! I then took the info to Tarpon Animal. Hospital. Tarpon Animal hospital informed me that they had written it for six months! I filled the script and called Essentials and they said they made a mistake and sent me a email with a new date for the dogs to have their heartworm. I moved up north now and am trying to get heartworm for my dogs. I have been trying for over a week now calling them every day and having the people I am trying to purchase it from call them. The owner said that they would approve it on Wed and have the company call them back again for the third time. They called them back and again they are not approving it! This has been a terrible experience!

The first time I took my puppy here (Friday after work) they were extremely fast. Got us in and out the door in less than an hour. I made the unfortunate mistake of bringing my puppy back for follow up shots on a Saturday. It took 3 1/2 hours just to be seen. Let me make this clear, 3 1/2 HOURS JUST TO BE SEEN!!! I was given the excuse that it is a walk in clinic and they are busy. That excuse doesnt fly!! In the first 45 minutes we were there all 3 exam rooms were full. We sat around talking with other pet owners. Every one there for something routine. 4 hours later when we finally got out of there, we took the prescription we were given to the Wal-Mart pharmacy. When we got there, it was closed till 2. Really?? No one there to even accept a prescription to be picked up later. Needless to say, I did not have a pleasant experience. I gave my review 3 stars because off the pleasant experience I had the first time and because there was a young female tech who was extremely nice to my family and my puppy. If at all possible, avoid the place like the plague on the weekend!

I was impressed from the moment I walked through the door. This place is clean! The waiting room is spacious and peaceful. The techs were great with the animals and the owners. One of my dogs has a known reactions to vaccines. They pre-treated her and monitored her until we both felt safe for us to leave. Dr. Gintert is easily the most gentle and informative DVM I have ever met. I will not hesitate to bring my dogs back to her for exams and vaccines.

I brought my cat and dog in to Pet Essentials. We just moved here from Chicago. We dont have too many bugs in Chicago. I always got by with flea collars. But here in Florida there are super fleas and my guys got an infestation. The vets were great. I told them I tried drops and they gave them oral flea meds. They were economical. The vets updated the dog vaccines and the cat as well. I was pleased and the fleas went away with a good carpet cleaning.

I had a great experience here. Ive brought two of my dogs so far. Such a friendly staff, they were so sweet to both me and my dogs, I could tell my dogs were comfortable there. One of my dogs is an utter drama queen and started whimpering and crying like a baby when he realized he was getting shots- they handled him really well and he came trotting back in the room afterwards like nothing happened (lol). Really appreciate their patience and kindness.

Convenient. Was told I needed the one-year rabies shot then could go on the three-year shots, even though Its the EXACT same shot. Not sure whos rule this is, the vet or the state, but it is completely asinine.

Great place to go for your basic pet care. the staff was extremely friendly and made my scared puppy feel welcome. Vaccines and prescriptions are very affordable. Ill be a repeat customer.
