PLEASE READ!!! I do not ever write reviews because it seems like a waste of time but this time I feel like it is very necessary. I went there for a spot on my chest and nose. They looked at the one on my chest and said they were confident it was basil cell. Ok. They looked at the one at my nose that doubled in size in two weeks and said it was a new mole that was growing and there was no need to biopsy because it was 100% nothing to worry about. (PHEW right?) Wrong. Ill get there in a minute. I came back for them to biopsy the one on my chest just to make sure it was basil cell. Well..they didnt look at my file, so they just removed the whole thing and they said "Alright, got that mole of your chest, I bet you are happy" I said "You guys said last time it was basil cell." Now, scrambling for my file they say "No its not- its just a mole thats why we took the whole thing off, but uh...we will send it off JUST IN CASE" (so they forgot) Anyways it did come back basil cell (DUH). One more Question I ask: "Are you sure this thing on nose is nothing, its still growing...." Doc: " No, youre being paranoid" So I go to the VA to get this taken care of. They took one look at the spot on my nose that was "100% nothing to worry about" and said "thats definitely Basil cell carcinoma, we need to remove that right away because its on your face and could do lots of damage" So here I am 2 weeks after going to "ADVANCED" dermatology with stitches all over my face and chest. Do not go there, they do not have interest in their clients. I would have suffered major major damage if I didnt go somewhere else to get a second opinion. This is very serious, I wouldnt wish my worst enemy to go there. Cancer is a big deal and they are lazy and incompetent and do not care about their clients.

On Friday, July 21st I had to have the Mohs surgery on my hand. The doctor was Christine Moorhead, MD, FAAD. Her nurse was HORRIBLE. She had the personality of a rock! She hands me 3 papers to sign and as usual I read them before signing but she looks as if irritated that Im reading them before I sign them. This was my first time having this procedure and I had questions and was nervous. She looked visiablly annoyed to be at work. My husband tried to joke with her about being happy about being there and she said, "oh its not that". Dont work with people if you cant be friendly. Christine Moorhead was not as personable as her smile is. She answered my questions I had but when I asked her if she could just "look" at another spot I had, she was very dismissive saying, "lets take care of this first." I felt like cattle being pushed through. I was NOT told I had two co-pays ahead of time but they worked with on that which I appreciate. NOW, the surgeon Scott and his nurse were AMAZING and SO FRIENDLY!!! They were patient and made me feel completely at ease. I would give him and his nurse 5 stars for sure. Ive been going to this practice for 20+ years and its sad that I may need to find another place to go for my dermatology needs because normally I have a good experience.

I dont typically do this (and its not something positive unfortunately), but Im going to blast a local doctors office. I feel it is important for people to know before going to this office that they speak openly about your CONFIDENTIAL information. I went to Advanced Dermatology in Orange City/DeBary. While sitting in the exam room I got to hear wonderful conversations filled with detail about other patients and all about the staffs personal lives as well. I can even give names! They were speaking loudly right outside my exam room at length. They were rude to me and made me wait over 45 minutes while I listened to them break peoples confidentiality. The ARNPs response to me telling her that I had heard a lot of CONFIDENTIAL and personal information in the 45 minutes they left me waiting was that I should write a book about it!! They were incredibly rude and I wouldnt recommend this office to anyone! Especially if you want you and your familys personal information kept confidential! I know more than I care too about some local people. I feel bad that their confidentiality was broken. I have reported them. I hope this helps others. I wouldnt want my personal information being spilled. HIPAA is serious business. I hate to see this kind of thing happening.

I saw Janmary beauchamp she was super nice really great. My complaint is the staff. I had an issue with the medication prescribed and called the day after my appointment to see if I could get a different prescription and the front staff said I would need to talk to the office manager or nursing staff do i left a message with the office managers voice mail. After three hours of not hearing back I left a message on the nurses voicemail. Well its been a week and no one ever called back. I would never go to this office again because the staff is not doing the job they get paid to do. So needless to say I never got the right medication either. If there was an option for no stars or negative I would give them that star. Call your patients back.

I am very glad that I was able to have Advanced Dermatology in Debary take care of my surgery needs. I had used the office in Lake Mary in the past, but was very happy that I was met with such skill and expertise in a smaller office setting that made my visits quite pleasurable. I felt that I was being listen to and my wishes were being taken care of. Everything was explained several times before I was able to leave the office which gave very little chance of me not knowing what to expect before, during and after my surgeries. I am sure that I will need their services in the future, as most of us living here in Florida, I will not hesitate to call on this office again for my future needs.

I scheduled for an exam, I have dual insurance Cigna & Tricare, the staff informs me I am not covered and they havent heard of that coverage before. I was then told I needed a referral for a wellness check. I asked the associate to please straighten out the error and telephone me back to reschedule, she said thats not her job. I requested the office manage and was then hung up on. Do yourself a favor, stay away from all of these, they are just bad news crushing your insurance and grubbing for your co-pay. I read the other reviews after going there, its awful.

I have been going here for almost 3 years. I have had 3 suspicious moles removed. All were none cancerous. Just had another removed that was slow growing Cancer. I had surgery 3weeks ago and am doing fine. I was notified that all cancer was removed. I get frequent head to toe scans and cannot say enough about this office and the staff. They are the best professionally. All the staff from front desk to the doctors are wonderful. Im so glad they were on my HMO list. Lorraine Miller retired RN
