I went to so many therapists that I lost interest in going to anyone. Years later my primary doctor recommended that I go see Travis and I did. That was the best decision I made. I always had a hard time opening up and sharing my issues because I did not want to be judged. After the first month I found myself opening up about issues I never thought I would disclose. Travis made me feel so comfortable. he is caring and compassionate. Travis really cares about his patients. he let me talk about issues at my own pace, and that was very important to me. When I had rough days I would text Travis and he would get back to me in a timely manner and talk me through it. I have moved out of state and I have tried to find another therapist like Travis but no such luck. I was so lucky to have someone like Travis in my life when I was at a dead end with all other therapists I had seen. I will always be grateful that he always made time for me no matter what. He is so caring and has a abundance of patience. I will always have my ups and downs but I have the knowledge to get through most of my issues. I take myself back to the therapy sessions I had and think about how Travis would tell me how to handle it and honestly It has helped me in so many ways. I am so thankful to have had him. He is the best!

I have been to a couple other therapists, but none have been as helpful as Travis. Many times, a therapist will listen (or pretend to listen), but not really offer any helpful insights. This is where Travis excels. He is able to provide not only advice on how to deal with the issue (person or situation), but can also offer examples of how to fix the issue. Travis does this without being demeaning - and with a total interest in outcome. He wants you to tell him the issue - and he partners with you to deal with it. Do not let the fact that he is not an old man influence your judgement of his wisdom. He has many real-world experiences - not just as a therapist. Im completely satisfied with Travis work. He definitely has helped me --- a lot.

Deciding to seek help from Travis has been one of the best choices I’ve made in a while. I was a bit hesitant before our first visit, however, he made me feel comfortable and like he truly cared right away. Travis has taught me many things. For example; he doesn’t just “tell” you what is going on, he fully informs you, gives examples, practices it with you, and explains it in a way that is easy to make a connection with and understand. Every time a visit ends, I leave with clarity, new ways of integrating what I’ve learned, and ultimately feeling better about myself. Travis is insightful and genuinely shows interest in your well-being. I am truly thankful for all of the help he has given me.

I recently moved to DeLand two months ago. I found Travis online and saw he had decent reviews and really wanted to go and see him (over most of the other choices I had found while searching). I have called his office, during office hours, 4 times now. The 5th time I called was two weeks ago and decided I guess I MUST leave a message since they dont answer their phones. I never got a call back. Today I thought Id try one more time and call....I called once, then again, then again. Over and Over...never an answer. I will be giving up on this place and suggest anyone looking into him do the same. Ridiculous business practice....what if i were a patient of his in a real crisis. Horrible

I came to Central Florida Mental Health Associates hoping to deal with some severe emotional and mental baggage. It was my first time going to a mental health counselor of any kind so I was understandably nervous, but Travis and the staff there immediately put me at ease (they have a wonderful therapy dog). I have never been one to easily open up, but Travis made me feel like Id known him my whole life and I found it very easy to share and talk with him. Even after I moved away from the area and was not technically a client, Travis continued to support me and help with any difficulties I had. Travis is a true professional and someone I am very happy to call a friend.

I was hesitant about seeking counseling at first,thinking I could fix anything on my own.Then I met Travis and we connected immediately. His honest,sincere and candid interaction was truly refreshing and let me know I was in the right place. Travis instantly validated my issues and began showing me how to deal with them effectively. He is very down to earth and honest with a touch of humor.I had little hope of solving any concerns I had at our first session,but I left with a definitely different outlook.I have never left a session with Travis feeling I did not make personal progress. I highly reccommend Travis to anyone!

Ive been seeing Travis since February and I couldnt be happier. I have been in therapy since I was a child and have never had an experience like this. I love his straight forward, no nonsense, approach and his willingness to go the extra mile for his clients. He has not only helped my mental illness but my physical and mental well being as well. This has been the best experience my son and I have had in ten years. From the front desk person to the therapists. Caring and knowledgeable. Travis has an excellent staff and he is by far the best Therapist I have ever taken my son to for therapy. When my grandson needed help my daughter took him to Travis. What more is needed to be said. Travis Mcbride is the best counselor I have ever been to. His work ethics are remarkable and he always seems to pinpoint the problem and show me how to approach life in a more rational way. I have really gained some knowledge on how to accomplish goals and set myself free of unrealistic thoughts. I definitely would recommend him.
