Before I start, I want to say that I never saw Jacobo Lama, so this post is in no way a critique of his competency as a provider. My complaints are against his office staff. I experienced THE WORST customer service I have ever came across! I needed a physical, and due to the fact that I am finished with school and could no longer use the campus health clinic, and too old to go see my childhood pediatrician I switched over to Dr. Lamas office. The first time I call, someone puts me on hold and never returns. I wait for 15+ minutes, before deciding to hang up and call back. When I called back, I explain that I was put on hold, and no one ever returned. The lady responds with "Okay. What can I do for you?" No acknowledgement of the fact that they forgot me on hold. I bit my tongue, was told the earliest they could see me was in two weeks, scheduled the appointment, and they take some basic information from me AFTER I schedule the appointment. To make a long story short, the appointment day came-for which I had driven in from out of town, I went in and was told I did not have an appointment with them. Umm..? I insist I did, and bring up the phone call. The lady continues to argue that I did not have an appointment. Eventually, she says she can put me down for a later appointment, to which I agree. I filled out the new patient paperwork, and return to the window. I am standing at the window for awhile before she finally opens it. And she proceeds to tell me that they cannot see me because it turns out that they actually already had someone scheduled at that time, and that I would have to return next week. At this point, I am upset. They refused to see me or acknowledged that they have done anything wrong (very unapologetic). Then they threaten to call the police on me, as I am walking out anyways, because they do not like my attitude. I did not hit anyone, did not make a threat of ANY KIND, no one got cussed out, so what are you calling the police for? Because I am upset about the way I have been treated? Goodbye!

MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR AN ESTIMATE BEFORE AGREEING TO LET THE DR TOUCH YOU OR THEY WILL BILL YOU FOR ANYTHING!! My husband went in to get an exam (just a preventive care checkup) and mentioned that occasionally his heart rate feels off but he wasnt concerned, and Doc charges him for an EKG that husband didnt request or know he was being charged for, and when we called to question the charge, the office said my husband DEMANDED an EKG!!!! Offices like these are the type you visit once, get their money by screwing you over, and then never return but they still get paid by the new suckers, I mean patients.

First of all I would not recommend this office to anyone. Phones ring off the hook and no one answer when I do get on hold on someone I get put on hold for toooo long. And never come back so i have to hang up and call back then i get put back on hold. I called back and asked for Office administrator and the girl said she is not available. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE if the patient is dying matter of well DIE because the only care for the money and not for the patients health. RUDE STAFF, RUDE EMPLOYEES.

Front desk just leave people on hold for over 15mins. They had me pay over $200 for lab results that I have yet to do because they havent faxed over paperwork that says Ive paid. Ive gotten off of work early twice and had to schedule for a day off to see the Dr. Time is valuable and I wont ever get that back. Disappointing.
