After 4 miscarriages, 3 failed IUIs and a year of fertility testing, I began researching IVF clinics all over Florida and Mexico. I had my treatments with Reproductive Medicine Group but when IVF was suggested the quote they gave was more than I could afford. Mexico had very affordable rates and a few doctors with good reputations but after adding up the cost it would work out to be the same cost in America. Plus I wanted to work with a doctor who was closer obviously. My research led me to Dr Shayks office. He was affordable but I could not find many reviews online for IVF patients. Some of the reviews online made me hesitate, I read a few that said the doctor and staff was unorganized, and that doctor had a bad bedside manner. I went in thinking ok, I will have to stay on top of my game to keep them on their toes but was comfortable be cause I knew what to expect. On the first visit, I was Impressed. The doctor had a great demeanor. He was very laid back, he didnt make us feel small and took the time to explain the reason for his suggestions in full details which was a stark difference from the Dr at Reproductive Medicine Group. We felt like we were in control but he was our informed support. We decided to move forward and from their we delt solely with the staff. We paid the deposit and chose the month we wanted to try. I got my prescription and 1st calender by email but felt being it was my first time, it could have been explained in more detail. Some of the staff was ok. The girl at the front desk was a bit rude everytime I checked in for my appointment. The medical nurse who took my blook pressure everytime I came was very friendly but always asked the same questions about my miscarriages and number of pregnancies which I thought was a part of my file. It was just weird reliving the memory over and over and also the blood pressure cup always malfunctioned which waisted time and was annoying.one of the nurses was always all over the place. She mostly handled paperwork and calendars. Everytime I would call for something in my file she would say I dont know where your file is, maybe the Dr has it. She often had to call me back and seemed rushed and all over the place. The other nurse I liked so much. She talked to us, kept us informed, didnt mind explaining things as she had been through IVF with the doctor before. She seemed to keep the dr. In order and we could tell her anything. On the day of retrieval, we were so nervous because we needed this to work. The doctor was super professional and very skilled. I was fearful the dr wouldnt understand my wishes. We only had 5 eggs and of the five, only 2 were grade B. Because we wanted to increase our chances we wanted to put back the best 3 and freeze the worst 2 because we felt guilty discarding them and we knew we would try again and would use them with second round. He completely shocked us with his approach. He listened to our wants. He asked us a few trick questions about how we would adjust to multiples. After we answerd I assume correctly, he suggested we put back all 5 to increase our chances and to ease my mind about the other 2 eggs that didnt look to good. We were happy considering Im 34 and my other dr had a strick policy to only put back 2. We felt positive about the whole thing and Dr Shayk and Kim made it so unstressful for us. At this moment I am 5 months pregnant with a single little girl. I cant be happier with my experience and the outcome. I wanted to give a real honest review so you will knowe what to expect. Overall I had a good experience with a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor for a very reasonable price. I plan to do it again a year from now and totally trust dr. Shayk and his staff.

Definitely not impressed! I chose this office after lots of research online. The price was affordable and reviews were decent. The overall experience was weird. The doctor gave me the creeps. I did the IVF process. When it came down to transfer day, I was told I had 4 viable embryos. I drove 5 hours for the transfer. Dr. Shayk tells my husband and I that we could either wait two more days or transfer them. This would have been nice to know before making the drive. We chose to do the transfer and felt persuaded to transfer all 4. Once we agreed to doing all 4, he then proceeds to talk about abortion if all 4 embryos survive. He went into details as to where to go to have the procedure. Very odd to be discussing abortion when you are trying to get pregnant. Our transfer wasnt successful. When the Dr called to discus this with me, he recommends I use donor eggs the next time if I wanted to do it again. This was surprising considering I had never been told my egg quality was bad before by and doctor. He couldnt give me a real solid explanation as to why he was recommending this. I asked to put him on speaker phone so my husband could hear the news and he seemed annoyed that my husband had questions. Fast forward 6 months later and we visit a new doctor. We were told donor eggs werent necessary and Im presently pregnant with a child. Be very cautious and do your research for whomever you use for ivf. Its an expensive and stressful process. I wouldnt recommend this office but after using a different provider, Id say you get what you pay for at this office.

My husband and I are satisfied patients of Dr. Shaykh. Dr. Shaykh and his staff are wonderful. First of all when my husband and I went to the office in February for information, there werent any brochures available but Maria made a packet for us, no questions asked. From there we scheduled our consult and were impressed. The entire staff Maria, Kim, Heather, Joanne, the embryologist and there is a new nurse as well (I forgot her name but she is hilarious) are the best. When you go there you feel like family and not a patient. The whole process that comes along with infertility is a stressful one but everyone puts your mind at ease. For those who are concerned about financing, there are finance companies that work with Dr. Shaykhs office and you can also make payments until your treatment is paid for (which is what we did). You are never given false hope or promises as Dr. Shaykh is honest with you in regards to your particular situation. I am happy to say that as of July 25th, 2016 I found out I am pregnant with our little "Shaykh Baby" due on my husbands birthday and we couldnt be happier. My Obstetrician Dr. Adams found out I was a patient of Dr. Shaykhs and had nothing but awesome things to say about him and his staff. She said, "I only refer my patients to him because he and his staff are the best and their customer service is unmatched". The only sad part about this experience is that I dont get to see everybody anymore as I have graduated from the program, but I promise to return once the baby is here.

I had a previous bad experience with another Fertility doctor and began to search for a new doctor. I was apprehensive but from the first telephone call I knew that this was the right doctor for me. This has been a relatively quickly process and Im happy to say that from consult less than 2 weeks ago I begin treatment in the next few days. The rates are really reasonable so its obvious he is not all about the money. The costs are under half of the expenses of other Fertility specialists and by switching to him I have saved over $5,000. I look forward to continuing to work with everyone at this office. ****** needed to add that I started out what I thought was a quick process had some bumps in the road which included needing a surgery after retrieval. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Shaykh and all of his staff. They are funny and helpful. Readily available for the questions, concerns, oops moments. (I broke my Lupron over the weekend) or just to talk/listen. Choosing this office was the best decision. Im scheduled for a May 12th FET transfer and Im looking forward to a "Shaykh Baby" I actually look forward to the long drive because I am reassured that everyone actually cares.
