I had to remove my parent from Heartland . The first week he was there he had very little supervision. He was found on the floor and had to be taken to the Hospital . He was taken back to Heartland and a week into his return a staff member would not forfill her job duties due to her having a bad back. She refused to do more than she had to I felt arkward in having to ask her for help, especially when it was her job. complaining was all she did. The staff seemed to turn away and act as they werent listening ,the nite shift is extremely laid back. My parent seemed to walk less and left in bed more than he should have . Thus, water buildup in the lungs was evident . Due to lack of movement had became an issue so I demanded to have him transferred to Mount Sinai Hospital . When I first laid eyes on my he kissed me and asked if I can take him to the bathroom and we slowly walked together & within five days there he couldnt get out of bed or walk . My goal was to take him home to live with me out of state. His walking ability that was bad enough & declined "Ten-fold" If your reading this and you let your loved one stay here it is you will have knowone to blame but yourself . This is my experience ,My Rating for Heartland is a MINUS - 5 star

Yo estuve como por dos semanas visitando a diario a mi hermana que estaba en recuperación de una cirugía de rodillas y todo el personal que pude comunicarme con ellos fueron maravillosos pero muy en especial Alba Restrepo y el enfermero José. Si en todos los lugares fueran atendidos con empleados como ellos que se ve que aman su p r profesión no existieran malos tratos con personas que necesitan de su cuidado y atención. Por este medio le doy cinco estrellas al centro y muchas más estrellas a Alba Restrepo y a José. Mi hermana que estuvo en el lugar es An a Blanco y ella ingresó en febrero 16 o 17

Rehab team - A+ / Nursing & CNA team F! -- My mother in law recently spent just over 20 days at this facility as a short term rehab patient. Being an English only speaker - half of the staff couldnt communicate with her - nor did they attempt to place her with staff that could. She gained over 40 pounds of fluid weight in 20 days - all ignored after repeated inquiries by herself and family to the nursing and administrative staff. Her call light would often be unattended for over 60 minutes at a time. Not long after arriving she had a low blood sugar attack that was ignored by staff. Staff will walk into the room, inquire about the assistance needed - leave to "find" somebody and never come back. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONES HERE TO RECUPERATE. The rehab team was amazing. They are kind and patient and fantastic at what they do. I wish that level of care was given through-out the entire facility. My MIL made great progress with this team - and for that we are very pleased. I wish this team worked as an outpatient basis.

I had a good experience with my Aunt stay at Heartland in particular Olga Murrieta & Anastasia Nurses Aid, Olga was amazing she treated my aunt and all the other patients that I came across with such love, as if they where her family, totally dedicated to them in all their needs. Anastacia was also very helpful very attentive to her needs at all times. Only problem I had was getting a straight answer as to when and if the Doctor was going to order a particular medicine for my Aunt, at the end I did get a straight answer which was all I really needed to give me peace of mind. The therapist where absolutely fantastic.

Horrible, horrible, horrible. My mother after 3 major surgeries involving kidney removal, gall bladder etc. ended up at heartland. She started having severe abdominal n lower back pain and throwing up from midnight til 1 pm. They told her she needed to wait for the doctor. I told them to call an ambulance because she was in such pain she could barely speak. They told me on the phone to wait for the doctor. I said shes been crying for over 13 hours. I ended up having to call 911 from my work. They put me on hold and would not address this real emergency.

terrible administration, the CNA are over worked and they cannot attend to your family member in a timely manner. by mother left with terrible diaper rashes. The quality of health care from their doctors are the worst i ever seen. from the minute she entered the rehab - to the day of her discharge was horrendous, to the accuracy of the information in their database and that can be very dangerous. i will never refer this place to anyone.

Its a really amazing place then really took care of my mother I had to move my mother from the Vero we have is sunset what a horrible place they have everyone sleeping there drug down and I moved her to heartland they treated my mom so good the nurses are so sweet the doctors or Paris or attention is amazing ned everything that shines is gold The nurse Olga is an amazing nurse an The nurse ogla is an amazing nurse and so is nuka she the RN

Terrible attention to patients. Almost killed my mother. Feces backed up by neglect to the point she was full and had to go to intensive care at Kendall Regonal Hospital. Lazy stupid staff not doing their jobs especially the nurses watching over the elderly. What a disgrace and disappointment for a patient in need of care, Only to be neglected and nearly dead. WTF?

This is the worst nursing home I have ever seen, my father went there for 1 week, when we will go there we will find him in the floor naked. Nobody will have an answer when we will ask why was he like this. They wouldnt feed him or nothing. They almost literally killed him and after here he went to the hospital. Dont take your family members here.

My mother is there and from all the nursing homes that I have seen, and I have seen many is the best one, the rehab and Nursing Home is very good, people are caring, place is clean

Outstanding therapy and therapy staff!! My grandmother stayed there recently & her experience was amazing! She didnt want to leave! I highly recommend the therapy here!!
