I took my English bulldog here because she was having an emergency. Her eyes were very swollen and she was throwing up and not eating. I was attracted to this place because they dont charge for the visit. When we got there the doctor asked us some basic questions and writing down prescriptions for my dogs. Without examining my dog he was prescribing a bunch of antibiotics. The total would come out to 250 dollars. I had to ask the vet two times to explain what he was giving her and why. He just keep looking at me like I was an idiot. Additionally he was trying to change her food and flea medicine, nothing that was dealing with her emergency. I spent 50 dollars on homemade drops and refused any other service. The following day I took my dog to her vet, where they discovered my dog had ulcers in her eyes. Te previous vet didnt even take his time to run any test. When I asked him if he needed to he said there was no need, he knew what he was doing. As it turns out he doesnt. We would have spent 250 dollars on something she didnt need. I truly care about my dogs any only want the best for them. I am honestly telling you, DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. The vet does not do a good job and will end up costing you way more than you truly need to spend. Take my word for it and go elsewhere

I cannot say enough about how wonderful Dr. Andreu and his staff are to me and my little dog and cat. I have lived in many states/cities and always had pets so always had a regular vet in each place Ive lived, but none have compared to Pets & Vets. My dog and cat have had ongoing health issues that have required me to go to the clinic about twice a week almost every week and what could have been a very money-draining situation if this were another clinic, has been very reasonable financially considering all the check-ups, tests, treatments, and medications that my pets have been needing lately.You can tell that Dr. Andreu and his staff are truly in it for the love of animals and not just see this as a "job". Ive seen people bring in strays because they know that Dr. Andreu and his staff will not turn them away or take advantage by charging a ton of money to help a stray. I am fortunate that Pets & Vets is only a few blocks from where I live, but I know there are people who dont even live that close by who bring their pets here because word is spreading quickly about how wonderful this place is and I am one of those clients happily telling all my pet-owning friends to bring their furbabies here.

Ive been going here for years, the previous owner was not the greatest at his job. However, the new owner and Dr. is amazing. He always treated my dog with love and he was always very direct with whatever situation was at hand. I remember I had to take my Dog in on Christmas day for a really bad ear infection. I called Dr. Andreu and he told me that he would meet me at the office. He took care of my dog and didnt even charge me an emergency fee. Last night I had to take my dog in because she was not doing so well. She was very weak and just wasnt acting normal. She passed away on my way there, but when I got to the Vet he immediately took her in and took care of her. He told me she died due to a ruptured spleen. The Staff gave me all the time I needed to say my goodbyes, which meant a lot to me as they were in the process of closing up for the night. I highly recommend Pets & Vets, you will not regret it.

I have been to Dr. Basta several times with my little chihuahua, Napoleon. He has given him excellent care. I feel completely satisfied with this Vet and his staff. Napoleon never lost his baby teeth and the Dr. had to remove them as they were starting to cause quite a problem of decay. He did a tremendous job. He told me everything he would be doing during the surgery and the gave me great instructions for after care. I highly recommend him and PS, he has never made up prices, or fake illnesses. He told me the price of the teeth removal a year before and when I came back in to get it done, he quoted the same price!!! All vets try to sell THEIR products. The doctor called me the next day after surgery to see how Napoleon was doing. Now how many doctors do that????? Gail

I agree with most of you guys. But truth be told, they may not be accurate on pin pointing the exact Ill at times, for the most part be smart about it! I have a female Rottweiler and to be honest, not only did he provide me with the info I needed to grow a healthy dog but at the time I didnt have a lot to behind with so the bills were acceptable. Another time I had brought in my cat of 8 months (3 months ago) with a problem that no vet could understand his behavior. The very sec he looked at the cat he knew exactly to the last detail. It turned out that my cat had swallow a needle and got inserted into the cats tongue. (painful) the bill was $120 x-rays and meds. Not recommending! Try at your own risk! But Ive been pleased till this day.

if you truly love your pet do not bring them here I called they told me they would see me quick because I explained how sick my bunny was and when I got there they let people with dogs and cats in right away I was waiting for over an hour the doctor that was there while he had no patients kept walking back and forth and didnt even try to come near us to see him he looked at my bunnie like if it was a strange thing meanwhile Im there with my 7 and 3 year old just waiting well our bunny died we waited to this morning to see a different vet but it was too late thank you pets and vets for letting my bunny died and not even trying to help Oh and not to mention this place is disgusting. I had to take my daughter to the bathroom and wow no words
