I will not be returning to this clinic. I went there 3 times within 1 month and saw the same doctor each time. When I called back for a recheck appointment 2 weeks later, they told me the doctor was no longer there. I also know at least one of their techs left at the same time. The front desk manager Ishtar is rude and impersonable. When I was waiting in the exam room I could hear her loudly telling the rest of the staff which medications to prescribe so that she wouldnt have to order other medications which would have been better for pets, she was also cursing loudly repeatedly. They did not have change for cash last time I was there, and so now there is a credit on my account, money that they have of mine which I will never be using there. I worked in vet clinics for over 10 years. One issue I took my dog there for was a urinary infection. I know that if urine sits for more than a couple hours, it can grow bacteria and have incorrect results. I was told that they would call me with results the following day as it was being submitted to the lab for testing. 4 days later after calling them each day, I made them send me the actual lab report because I never could get an actual vet to look at it and call me. They kept the urine sample there sitting at the clinic for 4 days before submitting it. I honestly think they lost it and used a different sample, because the results were inconsistent with my dogs symptoms. Have also had issues calling to get prescriptions refilled. Once I was told the receptionist would call me right back, after calling my dogs pain medication in to Target. No phone call. Finally called them back and they said they couldnt refill it yet, it was too soon. Well, then could you not call me as promised? Today I call to refill the medication again, and was told that I need to schedule an appointment before they can refill it. Again, you should have told me this LAST TIME I refilled the prescription.

I brought my newly adopted toy fox terrier to The South Broward Animal Hospital to have him looked at by the Vet and to have him neutered. A neighbor brings his dog here and he shared that he has been very satisfied with the care and service provided his dog. At the Vets they did a blood test and thats when I found out that this 15 month old puppy/dog I purchased from a breeder had heart worm! What an unexpected shock. (When I called the breeder I purchased the dog from, she stated that she neglected to have the dog on heart worm medication cause she felt he didnt need it in Georgia because the winters are so cold. AGHHHH !) I was a bit overwhelmed with the diagnosis of the dreaded "Heartworm", but the hospital and its staff could not have been more understanding or helpful - they walked me through each step of the procedures to treat my puppy and answered all my questions. My dog has already started the treatment and it is going better than expected - his prognosis is excellent. I very much appreciate the attention and care given to my puppy during this very troubling period. Great hospital staff make all the difference -and if you want your pet (and you!) to be treated like you matter and not just a number as what often happens at larger animal hospitals, I highly recommend South Broward Animal Hospital. You wont regret it.

Dr. Jose Barboza and his associates, Dr. Lugo and Dr. Pait, have been taking very good care of my three kitties for four years. The staff at South Broward Animal Hospital are also very kind and efficient. The main front desk person always has a pleasant greeting for clients as soon as they walk through the door. He has a very calming and reassuring influence on worried pet owners Most of my experiences at the clinic have been with Dr. Barboza, who loves animals and his regular routine checkups are very thorough. With three senior kitties, there have been the occasional scary emergency visits, Dr Barboza and Dr. Pait have given immediate assistance and have been very proficient in diagnosing my pets illnesses. My cats have been kept comfortable during long term treatment procedures and also following surgeries. The doctors and staff also take excellent care of anxious fur baby owners. I have seen Dr. Lugo a few times for routine visits, when Dr. Barboza has had a day off. She is very warm and caring, and her love of animals is quite evident. I highly recommend South Broward Animal Hospital to any pet owner who is looking for first-rate care for their animals and a warm, friendly environment dedicated to the health and happiness of our precious pets.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am to Dr. Sanchez and the staff of South Broward Animal Hospital. They saved my babys life. After a horrible experience that left me traumatized at another vets office, I called South Broward Animal Hospital the following morning crying hysterically. They had come in immediately with Lily. They examined her thoroughly and went over, in detail, what was wrong with my baby. They made me feel comfortable and they made sure I was informed. Dr. Sanchez didnt give me false hope, but instead gave me options and his recommendations. I was able to make an informed decision. The staff called me immediately after her results came in from her testing. They called me before, during and after her surgery. Dr. Sanchez and the vet techs were so extremely gentle with her. The front office staff are extremely sweet and caring as well. They even "babysat" my Lily after she managed to wiggle out of her bandages while I went to work the next day. They answered my many many questions. I would not trust any other vets besides South Broward Animal Hospital with my four legged babies.

I am very happy with this vet. I unfortunately had been a victim of getting a puppy from a store. Me and my husband were determined to get a English Bulldog anyways the first vet completely missed the dog heart murmur and when the puppy got very sick we took it to the same vet and said all the dog needed was antibiotic and the heart murmur will go away. Not listening to my concern this went on for 2 weeks until finally I decided to look up a good vet and SBAH came up. Easy to make a appointment and the vet listened to my concern but after thoroughly explaining the severity of the puppy condition. The truth was the puppy was a defective dog with severe heart problems and surgery and quality of life was unsure. Although it was a rough circumstance and hard lesson to learn I am thankful to have met with them. Prices were reasonable too! I am happy to say that my other dog (boxer) will now be a client in their office. I would like to thank them for everything! -Leilani

YOU CANT GO OFF OF RATING ALONE! They offer $5off if you rate them! I brought my ill dog here because it was a "FREE" first time visit.. My dog had issues peeing and was in pain. They said it was because his prostate was swollen and he cant pee.. they made it seem like it was a walk in the park, no big deal. Was sent home with antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. Return the next day because he wasnt eating so then they inject him with the drugs they perscibed.. $300 laterrrr I noticed he GOT WORST!! HE WAS BARELY HOLDING ON TO LIFE! THEY HAVE NO IDEA ON WHAT THEIR DOING!!! I HAD TO RUSH HIM TO THE EMERGENCY VET! $1200 LATER JUST TO STABILIZE HIM BECAUSE HE WAS IN CRITICAL CONDITION!!! Now $1500 later Im back at square 1! Just trying to find out what ACTUALLY WRONG WITH MY DOG!!! This wouldnt HAD happen if South Broward Animal hospital wouldve properly treated my dog when he was in stable condition..
