This office use to be the best pediatrics office, but not any more the two Doctors are great I still think they are they are the best but the staff is horrible they dont answer the phone and when they do they are not pleasant and they put you back on hold and you could be on hold for at least 20-25 minutes before they actually ask you what wrong not how can i help you , they never know an answer to any question as simple as your child vaccine records when can you pick them up I never had this experience in this office before the staff was excellent they would go out of their way to help you they treated the parents and the kids as family but not any more how sad I called for my childs records to change to another office and the office manager (Lucia) said it would take two more weeks and I mentioned its been two weeks already her response was that Dr. Fernandez was very busy with patients and it takes her 4 weeks for the release of medical records never the whole office is so unprofessional its really sad because the Doctors are great but when you cant get appointment s and you call the office or the after hours because you have a sick child its sad that no one returns your call.

I always enjoy seeing Dr. Laura! She had been so helpful with my little guy since birth and we have had a sickly start once he began daycare at 4 months that included numerous visits, referrals, and specialists. Its been great to be at a practice where they are diligent about covering all of their bases and support my requests for specialized therapy assessments and resources. I live in Biscayne Park and work in El Portal so her location, free parking (street and in the back), courteous and prompt staff also make it a great experience. Plus she supports breastfeeding, natural homeopathic remedies, and accepts medicaid too! And her office is beautiful, bright and full of cheer.

Dr. Laura is the director of Shores Pediatrics. She is ok. But the facility staff isnt good at all. They have a mess in the billing department.they are sending me letter of charges for no reason. I have an insurance since my son was born. They are not organized. They dont call to follow up. The ladies at from are rude. We are looking for a new facility for our kids.

Dr. Fernandez-Ortiz is a phenomenal pediatrician: patient-oriented, responsive, caring and comprehensive in her approach. We are lucky to have our three children under her care.
