Dr Okonkwo found ways to accommodate my autistic son. She is a wonderful doctor that listens and cares. My son has been a patient of Dr. Okonkwo for 11 years now. She always makes herself available to see my son, even without an appointment. Her staff (particularly Nadie, who has been with her for as long as I can remember) is knowledgable and helpful. The office is impeccably clean (even the bathroom!). We also love the addition of Henry, their therapeutic canine mascot. Dr. Okonkwo has raised the bar, and I hold other Doctors to her level of professionalism and dedication.

The receptionist is a disaster, she said they close at 4pm. Basically, if you are a working parent you need to take time off just to do simple things like a routine check up or vaccines. Very disappointed at the lazy attitude of the staff. I took my older daughter here once and liked the Dr. but I am going to give up on using this practice because this place is a true "Miami Bureaucracy" very slow, inefficient, and impossible to deal with.

My 2 month son was crying unstoppable at mitnigh and I had to call the doctor to ask if I should take him to the er or what to do since he had his vaccines that day and the Tylenol wasnt working, she was very RUDE to the point I had to hangup on her, I was frustrated and wanted to cry. Doctors are supposed to help not to make things worse. Very unprofessional.

Dr. Okonkwo is trigger happy when it comes to calling Department of Children and Families on parents. She has never been on time for an appointment and her staff is incompetent (horrible at scheduling appointments and/or communicating the doctors availability). I wouldnt recommend her practice to my worst enemy.

Dr O has been our pediatrician for 8 years. I couldnt be happier. I grew up on Miami Beach with Dr. Engle. I know a good pediatrician when i meet one. Dr. O is smart, and compassionate. Shes tough on new parents when she needs to be, but trust her advice.

Shes a wonderful doctor. I couldnt be happier. Finding a physician that truly cares is hard to come by. Shes detailed and takes her time with your children.
