Dr.Gilliland has very poor chair side manner. The staff- especially Heather, Lisa, and Celeste were excellent, great communication and sincerity from those 3. I went for my appointment to have my crown installed on one of my front teeth. Dental tech put the crown on without cement for a test fit. When Dr.Gilliland came into the room I let her know it looks a little smaller than my other front tooth. She said it looks fine. I said the length doesnt seem to match the other front tooth. She ripped her gloves off, stood up, and very arrogantly said "take it off put the temporary back on, refund his money and he can go see a cosmetic dentist if he wants" to her dental tech - then stormed out of the room. Lisa came to the room with a solution-she let me have the crown put in with temporary cement for the weekend to see if I would accept it, I got used to it and had it permanently installed the next visit. Aside from that situation - Dr.Gilliland rushes through every visit. This is an indication that she cares about seeing more patients to make more money VS taking the time to truly invest in their dental needs. Dr.Gilliland shows that she is very inexperienced with patient care - hard to believe being that her father is a prosthodontist. Sadly I will not be going back, and my fiancé who happens to be a local MD will not be recomending Dr.Gillilands office as a provider to any patients due to her poor chair side manner. It might help her to be in the room or close by when her staff, especially Heather, Lisa, and Celeste interact with the patients. They can provide her with great examples on how to treat patients with sincerity, how to show genuine care for their smile, and how to keep them coming back.

Let me start by saying if I could give this office 10 stars I would. Dr. Hazen has not only hired the perfect group of people for her office but she is AMAZING herself! I have had a deep fear of dentist for years because of bad experiences and have tried different ones but as many know, trying on a new dentist is not like trying on a new pair of shoes, picking the wrong one can be a complete nightmare. I found Dr. Hazens office because I recently moved and needed an appointment and first thing I did was read the reviews. Once making my appointment online which was super convenient I went in to see them nervous as ever. The girls in the office made me feel SO relaxed!!! Once Dr Hazen came in she let me know my treatment plan and did her thing, she was by far the BEST dentist I have EVER had! It doesnt just seem like a "job" to any of them there but more of a passion. They put the customers first and dont try to force you into procedures to make more money like a lot of dentist do. I am so grateful I found a new dental office to make my home where I am sure I am getting great care. Dr Hazen, you and your team are a true blessing to people like myself who have always been afraid to sit in that chair. Great work from a happy customer "Smiling Expressions"!

When your child has an issue with their teeth it can be very difficult for parents. Since you cant fix it yourself you are forced to trust someone else with this very sensitive problem. Beyond the goal of fixing the problem is the concern that whoever provides dental care for your child can make or break their association with the dentist FOREVER! My kids both had dental issues and one child had very serious issues. The staff at Smile expressions was beyond amazing with both of my kids. From the first visit, my kids felt right at home with the friendly staff and have never mentioned a negative thing about their visits. I personally sat beside my son as the dentist and her staff artfully performed each procedure while still being aware of my sons needs (he even created his own hand signs for when he needed to swallow or take a break and they followed them at his request haha!). What I am saying is that the dentist can be a nightmare or a great experience for your kids and you cannot go back; once they hate the dentist its impossible to change that! These guys created an amazing experience for my kids and I am forever grateful. Choose Smile Expressions and make life easier...oh, and of course your smile will look great too :)

The oral surgeon was a complete a**! My husband needed his wisdom tooth out quick as it was bothering him really bad so I called and made the appointment. The girl told me it could be done same day. When we arrived they made us wait over 45 minutes to get in to see the dentist, when we finally did he told my husband that he highly recommended anesthesia, my husband wanted to discuss it with me as we were a little tight financially and we all know dental work can be very pricey. He then tells my husband in front of me that he doesnt need to discuss it with me as Im not the one having the dental work done. Clearly this guy is not married because in relationships you discuss things that are going wined up costing a pretty penny. My husband then explained that he was comfortable just getting numbed and didnt need to be out to sleep, he argued for 10 minutes and then walked out. Needless to say I wont be returning.

Wow, Dr. Hazen is amazing. I had four fillings done yesterday and the whole experience was good. There was no major pain when getting the Novocain just a slight pinch which she warned me about so I was prepared. She works fast and accurately. Today my mouth is like nothing ever happened to it yesterday something I cannot say about other dental visits I have had in the past. I miss my dentist in Illinois and never thought I would find a replacement in Florida, but Dr. Hazen is my new dentist and I dont plan on going anywhere else. The Office Staff are welcoming and super nice always with a smile and never that crazy rushed "hurry up check in and then go sit down and leave me alone" - kind of feeling that I have had in other dental/medical offices. Kudos to Dr. Hazen and her office staff you guys rock it.

Smile Expressions is absolutely first-rate. Dr. Hazen and her staff are so friendly and courteous and kind, that I never worry or get nervous about a visit. I know Ill get exceptional care. And though their welcoming attitude would be enough to set them apart from most dentists, they also excel at professionalism. These folks know their stuff. Treatment is efficient and theyre always working to ensure that its painless. I love the people but I have to say the technology is amazing too! They can even now do same-day crowns because Dr. Hazen brought the entire process into the office. No more waiting a week or more with a temporary. Now thats service! If youre looking for a dentist, I recommend these folks without reservation.

I absolutely loved my experience so far with Smile Expressions Family Dentistry. So far my three year old and I have both had our first visit there and they have been amazing and very educational. They are honest and straight forward with what you need done. I have had terrible experiences with dentists and I am so far really happy with them. I have to say that when I took my three year old I was amazed with how great they were with her. My three year old just loved her experience and I was terrified at what she would do during her first visit so I was so relieved. Dr. Hazen and the staff are so nice and make you very comfortable! Glad to finally have a great dentist to go to for my entire family!
