I will never go back to this dentist office again. I realize they are not pediatric dentists and cant perform anything other than a cleaning for my son. I accepted that, thats all he ever really went for to begin with. As well as to be advised if he had any major issues, he did not. The first time he went he did great. This time around he had some difficulty, nothing more than what a tired busy child would do. Dr. Skigen proceeded to stop the appointment, and then make a strong suggestion that my son may need sedated for pediatric dentistry. I dont find that in anyway appropriate. When I was given a recommended pediatric dentist, it was for one who handles special needs children. This also felt like an even further slap in the face. Yes some children are special needs and need special care for dentists, my child is not. It should be my choice on which dentist I so choose to take him too. I would have better appreciated a list of dentists they recommended and decided from there. On top of that some of the staff are less than friendly to deal with. We will be searching for a better more friendly dentist to go to.

Recently, a Thursday night, I developed a horrible toothache. Friday morning I called Dr. Skigens office only to find out they were closed on Friday. I called the number provided on the answering machine and Dr. Skigen herself answered. She was on her way to drop her child off at school and said she would call me right back. She did so, listened to my symptoms and felt I needed a root canal. OBOY!!!! She called my pharmacy with a prescription for an anti-biotic as well as a pain reliever. In addition, she gave me several names for an Endodontist. I got an appointment set up, had my root canal and was in her office early the next week getting a crown. I dont know what I would have done had she not answered her cell phone. I cant say enough about the exceptional personal and caring attention I received from her. Her staff likewise are professional and take the time to ensure the patient understands the procedures as well as ensuring their overall comfort. A truly amazing dental practice. Not sure why they call it a practice as she has got it down pat - no more practice needed!!! David Williams

It had been a long time since I had a dentist that I went to regularly and really liked. When I moved to my new neighborhood, I received a mailer from Dr. Skigens brand new office and decided to try them out. I think I was one of the first patients in her new practice. I can honestly say I am really glad I responded to that ad because they have a really good thing going. Just like everyone else has said, everyone there is so nice. Everytime I call, I just have to say my first name and they know exactly who I am every time, which is amazing since Im only there twice a year. They did everything they could to help me when I really needed a mouth guard but was in school and didnt have a job. Now that my work schedule is completely crazy, they are so helpful and understanding when I have to reshedule an appointment on the fly. And of course... the parrafin hand waxes... amazing! Dr. Skigen seems to genuinely care about her patients and Im really happy with my decision to have her as my dentist. Thank you Dr. Skigen and staff! Athena Paulsen

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit! I dont like to give 5-star reviews because every place can improve on something. Not this place. Im a first timer and always a little leery about new doctors offices. Everyone was super friendly (kind of felt like home) and you get a full, floor-to-ceiling view of the outdoors while youre in the chair. Advanced cleaning methods and knowledgeable, caring people! I have a lot of questions when I go to the dentist and Sonja was able to answer every single one without making me feel like I was annoying her. She seemed happy to answer them. I recommend asking for her but I havent had experiences with anyone else. Shes really comforting and wasnt distant like some people can be. Consider me a lifer, Smiles by Cindy.

I have gone to Dr. Skigen for several years. I have always been pleased. Last week I was there for a cleaning and check up. Everything was fine. No complaints. I am aware that I need a crown and I told Dr. Skigen that I will come back to do that when I get dental insurance. I am self pay right now. A few days after the cleaning and check up appointment I receive a letter from Dr. Skigen stating that I can no longer be a patient there and that I have to find another dentist. No reason given. I have called and emailed Dr. Skigen asking for a reason for the rejection Dr. Skigen refuses to give me a reason. I can always find another dentist, but it would be nice if a reason is given for just dropping a patient all of a sudden.

Our family of six has been seeing Cindy for 3 years. The office is clean, staff has always been pleasant and Jana, hygienist, is our favorite. She is very detail oriented and great with our little children. The office performs a lot of services but has never been pushy with extras. Charges have always been reasonable and they used to do paraffin wax treatments for free during cleaning. Dr Skigen is also detailed and even finishes every visit with a lymph-node exam. Dont know about the scheduling issues from the previous reviewer. Weve never had problems. Very pleased overall. Definitely recommend. MP

I have been to many dentists over the years but none like Dr. Skigens office. From the moment you enter the door you are greeted with a smile and a kind hello. The staff is dedicated to making what some people find traumatic a smooth easy wonderful experience. The techs are amazing. They treat you with a soft touch and tell youo every step of the way whats going on. Dr. Skigen is such a nice person. She is very personable yet extremely professional. I cannot recommend her office more strongly. If you need a dentist give Doc Skigen a try.

Dr. Skigens office is a professional as they come. Her staff is friendly, professional and work very hard to give you the smile you have always wanted. Dr. Skigen is the kind of dentist that has a wonderful chair side manner. She is friendly and most of all genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. I cant say enough about how friendly the entire staff is from the front desk to Dr. Skigen herself. After many years of searching I have found a great dentist.

I recently had to have a crown put on my front tooth - now knowing it was my front tooth, I was a little nervous about if it was going to look obviously fake or not and it was right before my sisters wedding to say the least - Dr. Skigen and Melissa did a fabulous job and I even had someone custom paint the crown so that it matched exactly to the other tooth - people cant even notice it! Great service and great people :) - Megan Marsh
