I have nothing nice to say about this doctor other than if you have a perfectly normal pregnancy, she MIGHT be a good doctor for you. I started seeing her as soon as I found out I was pregnant. It took over a month of blood work and ultrasounds for her to decide that since my HCG levels werent going up I must have an ectopic pregnancy. At this point I had been calling her office for two weeks complaining of pain and they kept telling me it was normal. On the day that her office finally called to tell me they were considering my pregnancy ectopic, I was taken to the emergency room with a ruptured ectopic pregnancy because they had let it go too far before they caught it. They called her to do my surgery since she was already at the hospital. By this point, I was in too much pain to care who did it as long as it got fixed. I saw her once after the surgery for a follow up to remove my stitches and once because I was lactating months after the surgery. I tried several times after that to schedule follow up appointments and her office would tell me she couldnt see me for 3 weeks and that if I was in pain then I should go to the emergency room. (I was in pain and did end up in the emergency room, where they told me I should have gone to see my OB/GYN and couldnt believe I had a three week wait to see her). During my follow up from surgery I was referred out to an infertility doctor who wanted a copy of the pictures from my surgery (Which Dr. Hood had told me after my surgery that I could pick up in her office). I went by her office to pick up the pictures and was told they had been "Lost." I was told they had a file copy of them but they couldnt release a copy to the fertility doctor and that they couldnt make a copy for me. I ended up asking to see my file and taking a picture of the pictures with my phone so that I could take them to my next doctor. The whole thing was a complete disaster. I do NOT trust her judgement. I do NOT believe she made the best medical choices for my care. and I do NOT recommend her to anyone else.

After finding out I was pregnant and going to see her when I was 9 weeks along everything seemed ok. She said due to my age I was "high risk" she did my normal check ups and ultra sounds, blood work , etc. She told me I would have to make an appt. to see a high risk doctor in Destin. I was never given the option to go to Pensacola to his normal office, or given the option to have a female "high risk" doctor to see so I was more comfortable. I get to Destin to see this doctor as we walk in there is blood drops on the floor and the place left a lot to be desired. The high risk doctor was rude, made me feel very uncomfortable not to mention the room I was in has mold in the tiles above my bed from water leaks. How is that safe for a pregnant woman? Its not safe for anyone more less a woman that is carrying a child. After getting attitude from that doctor and taking pictures on my husbands phone to show so called Dr. Hood at our next appt. He left the room with ultra sound gel all over my stomach in globs. I get to my appt. with Dr. Hood and after waiting for over 45 mins. and watching people be called back who DID NOT HAVE APPTS. go in before myself and other waiting moms to be I asked the lady at the desk how much longer it would be. She said she wasnt sure I could set up a different apt if I would like. At that time they call my name and we (my husband and myself) go to the room. They check my vitals like always, then DR. Hood walks in with an attitude and asks " what am I not moving fast enough for you?" I told her no she was fine we where just checking to see how much longer. She told us we where to picky with her and the high risk doctor with the nasty office that we needed to leave. I am 5 months pregnant and she kicked us out. So unprofessional and uncalled for!! NEVER GO HERE!!

It was very important to me to be able to have a safe vaginal delivery. Dr. Hood told me that I needed to be induced so I told her that would be fine. I got to the hospital first thing in the morning where I was then induced. I was put on pitocin to speed up my labor. I was ready to deliver my baby within 2hrs. I told the nurse i felt a huge urge to push. She then called Dr. Hood to come in to deliver my baby. Dr. Hood was in the middle of c section surgery and told the nurse to labor me down. I was labored down for 2 hours. My daughters heart rate dropped and they told me if it doesnt go back up I would need an emergency c section. In the meantime I am in labor and ready to give birth and because this moron did not come deliver my child when it was time my daughter was born with fluid in her lungs and had to be rushed to nicu. I also tore so bad that I had a 3rd degree tear because she is obviously incompetent. She also delivered my daughter wrong by pulling to hard on one side of her neck which caused her to have torticollis. My daughter ended up having to do physical therapy every week to fix the problem. After the delivery I was unable to hold my bladder for months. I was in extreme pain. My mother was so angry with her that she called her and let her have it. When I came into to see Dr. Hood for my check up after delivery she was so angry with my mother that she told me that she was about to drop me as a patient! Wtf kind of doctor would ever treat her patient like this? She made my first birthing experience absolutely horrible! I would not recommend this woman to anyone who becomes pregnant.

HORRIBLE DOCTOR ......... I DONT HAVE ENOUGH ROOM TO WRITE IN THIS REVIEW HOW BAD OF A DOCTOR HOOD IS............ MY WIFE IS OVER 5 MONTH PREGNANT & HIGH RISK THIS WAS OUR FIFTH VISIT HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH THE STAFF NOR DR. HOOD UNTIL DR. HOOD SENT US TO A HIGH RISK DOCTOR IN DESTIN FL .. THE VISIT WAS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE FOR MY WIFE . THE ROOM WAS A MAKE SHIFT ROOM WITH WATER LEAKS IN THE CELLING AND PAINT COMING OFF THE WALLS ...DR HOOD NEVER LET US GET & WORD IN ABOUT OUR EXPERIENCE WITH THE HIGH RISK DR SHE RECOMMENDED .......SHE LEFT US OUT TO DRY ABANDONING MY 5 + MONTH PREGNANT WIFE CANCELED US & CALLED US QWOTE NIT PICKY ....UNREAL!!!!! I SUGGEST ANYONE WITH A PROBLEM WITH DR KIMBERLY HOOD GO TO FLORIDA BOARD OF MEDICINE............ NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT MY WIFE DID YESTERDAY,,,,,,,,,,,,,, GOD BLESS.

I was with Dr. Hood almost 11 years...but her staff became a night mare. I called with my most recent pregnancy schedule an appointment. I received two voicemails from her nurses that my appointment had to be pushed back a week from my blood work (which took four phone calls to get a simple order), they gave me the time and date. On the date of my original appointment, front office called and said I missed my appointment and they had a no show fee. I told them about the voicemails from the nurses put on hold for 17 mins...and was told she would get with them and call me back to reschedule bc the nurses didnt put me on the books for the date/time they left..... im two months away from delivering and still havent heard anything at all from her office. Her staff is costing her patients, and a good name.
