I have been a patient of Dr. Gaterbaum since 2008. I visited him again today and without reservation rate him the highest of any doctor I have seen in 62 years. The exam is very thorough. Each test result is explained in laymans terms and considerable attention given to the implications. All patient questions are answered thoroughly and in terms easily understood. I found no pressure to sell eyeglasses, in fact, an effort to avoid the patient purchasing something he/she might regret. I found Dr. Gaterbaum to be a perfectionist and very concerned about my sight and the health of my eyes. I do agree with a previous post that the eyeglasses at the clinic are overpriced when compared to say Costco, but that is not unexpected. I did not feel any pressure to purchase eyeglasses from the clinic. I found the staff to be courteous and professional, perhaps a response implemented after one of the previous posts. I cannot remember having been afforded this amount of time or received the thoroughness and expertise by any other doctor ever. This guy is old school and a gem.

DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE OR SCHEDULE A SURGERY. I went here because I noticed ptosis in my eyes.. I scheduled a surgery date for 9/18/14. I decided to not go through with the surgery. (It was my first one and I was too nervous).. so I called and left a voice mail saying I needing to speak with the surgery coordinator about 2 weeks before. I NEVER got a call back...even if they never got my voice mail they should have at least gave me a courtesy call about my upcoming surgery. They never even called back about the voice mail I left asking why I was wanting to cancel or if I wanted to reschedule for a later date. Any kind of surgery is a big deal...especially eye surgery and to not get any call back from these people is unprofessional and unacceptable. This makes me so glad I canceled because their was obviously something fishy going on. BEWARE OF THESE FISHY PEOPLE.

What a HORRIBLE business this is. The doctor is amazing, however, the staff is some of the RUDEST, NASTIEST women that I have ever come across. I was in the hospital for an eye injury and I came back to this dr after a few years for follow ups. I came back for 3 follow ups with in a few days and I got charged every single time. They claimed since I was too old of a patient, I got charged as a new patient?? Is that real? They never even told me they were charging me for each visit and invited me back in like it was just a follow up. Then when it came to my eye appointment they tried to Bill me all at once with a too bad so sad mentality. They claimed they "have to collect" once they bill insurance. YEAH RIGHT, my family has doctors in it and its all by practice. Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Florida eye clinic. Way more honest.

Dr. Gaterbaum and his entire staff have consistently went above and beyond in providing a superior customer/patient experience. Each person you come into contact with, at the office, is pleasant, caring and compassionate. The doctor always takes his time to discuss your care and makes you personally feel that you are his most important priority. The quality of the care is second to none. Dr. Gaterbaum builds trust and I have an incredibly high level of confidence and respect for he and his team. I could not recommend them any more highly - you will be very well served by Orlando Eye Associates.

I have been seeing Dr. Gaterbaum for quite a while and have recommended friends here also. I do find the exam to be top notch however I have had some problems with my frames in the past and i feel they are over priced. I have found the reception staff are rude and inconsiderate at times also. The last time I went I did not actually see Dr. Gaterbaum I had another doctor and although I felt the exam was just as good I also definitely felt pressured to buy another pair of frames even though I did not need them since my prescription had not changed and the frames I have are in good shape.

Consumer beware! NO curticy call the day before? I was scheduled as a new patient and needed to reschedule the day of, they refuse and charged me $25. I never got a chance to go in or learn and/or sign their so called policy. In order to hold someone accountable for a policy violation, they need to be aware of such policies. Thumbs down. Bad business! Rude staff! And from what I gather overly priced frame!

We were trying to fill my sons prescription while on vacation since he tore a lense and didnt bring extras. This great facility just offered to give us a few trial lenses in his prescription to help us out!! It was so so nice of them!! They also arranged to have us pick them up even though they were going to be closed by the time we arrived. Really above and beyond customer service. Thank you!

Excellent service and experience! Dr. Guzak is very thorough and not only listened to all of my eye concerns and questions he replied with knowledge and solutions. Very pleased and will continue to use his office for my annual eye exams.

The optometrist is good But when my sons glasses broke they refused to replace it 5 months from purchase. After many calls they decide to give 50% discount. Never had this problem at SAMs club or Walmart etc.
