I have a 4 year old Labrador retriever and a 14 year old Chihuahua. Im a fiercely devoted pet momma (I take my dogs health more seriously than my own!). That is probably why I found myself jumping from vet to vet. I couldnt find someone who cared about my pets as much as I do. My pets have been patients of Oakwood Animal Hospital (1 star), North Florida Animal Hospital (3 stars), and South Monroe Animal Hospital (2 stars). Each of these places had problems with price hiking, recommending/requiring unnecessary procedures, and a lack of follow-up and/or customer service. Sheer frustration with SMAH drove me to start asking around for yet another vet. My neighbors, whose dog has been a lifelong patient here, told me about this place. What a relief it was to find them! Dr. Billings and his staff are amazing! There are just no words to describe the level of care and support they have provided over the last couple years. The employees at the front desk, the vet technicians, and the vet himself set an example that other veterinarians in the Tallahassee area should be aspiring to. They are always available to take my questions and concerns and they get back to me immediately. They even call me every so often to check in on my chihuahua who has heart problems. On more than one occasion when my dog had very troubling symptoms, Dr. Billings has either stayed late or adjusted his schedule on short notice just so he could see my dog that day. I love this place. They provide exemplary service our animal friends (while providing emotional support to their distraught owners) and never try to over-charge. Thank you, everyone at Lake Jackson Animal Hospital! As long as I live in Tallahassee, my pets will be your patients.

Since moving to Tallahassee in 2002, we have appreciated the great care and consistent kindness we receive from Dr. Billings and the entire staff of Lake Jackson Animal Hospital. If you want humane treatment for your animals and yourself, look no further: whether our visit is for an urgent problem, a chronic illnesses, or just a routine check-up, theres no place wed rather go. I have no doubt that our first set of cats lived years longer (and more comfortably) than they would have without Dr. Billings pharmacological knowledge, and one of our current cats would almost certainly have died as a kitten without his intervention. I dont often give a five-star rating, but its well deserved.

We took our puppy to Lake Jackson Animal Hospital for the first time about a year(+) ago and have been going back ever since. The staff is very nice and attentive and the vet is not an alarmist. As first-time dog owners weve walked in several times thinking the world was going to end, only to be calmed by Dr. Billings. He could make hundreds of dollars by telling us "Oh yes, we must test for everything it might be [insert most dire situation here]" but instead he tells you what he really thinks it is, gives you the solution, and advices you to bring her back if there are any concerns. I wish more human doctors were like him, hes truly exceptional.

My family has been taking our pets here for the last 20 years: two generations of pet owners and about 6 dogs and cats overall. Dr. Billings is a wonderful vet and all of the staff are friendly and very professional. They even wrote us a card and all of the staff signed it when we had to put our dog down. The prices arent too unreasonable, but its definitely worth it with the service you get here. Ill never take my pets anywhere else in town.

Dr. Billings has a kind and gentle way about him that always makes me relax when I have an emergency. Even if there is something that Dr. Billings cannot do, he makes trusted referrals and seeks to learn more about whatever condition your pet has so he can be a better vet. The staff feels like family and I think that even my pets feel less afraid because everyone there is very compassionate.

Dr. is great with pets. Office staff is likewise knowledgeable about your pet and their needs. CLEAN!!!!!!! Doesnt smell like a vets office. Surprisingly medicine (flea drops) are as cheap or cheaper than Animal Aid and no wait!

We have gone to Dr. Billings and staff since about 1990. Over the years they have treated our 6 dogs and none of our pups was ever afraid to go to the vet. Everyone is wonderful there and the care is excellent.

Good people, reasonable prices. Seymour hates them though... but he hates all vets so hes not really a good judge. Cant blame him though. It may be the way vets take his temperature.
