I was first recommended to Novey by a friend when I needed to board my dog overnight. They were super friendly when I dropped her off and picked her up, but what really sold me was the fact that a week later, I received a handwritten thank you note for boarding my dog there. Can you beat that kind of customer service? When my dog was due for her shots, I ditched the Petco line and for a VERY small price more received vaccines, tests, heart worm and flea preventatives PLUS an annual exam. And when you discuss Dr. Novey and an exam, we are talking about a 40 minute time frame where she is physically present in the room talking to you, looking at your pet, answering whatever questions you have, etc. During her exam, I was completely mortified when she found fleas hiding in a small patch on my dogs butt that I didn't know were there, but she didn't judge or treat me like I was a horrible mom and just suggested easy quick treatments to fix it. You can tell she loves her job and animals by the way she just gets right on the floor to give them a good rub down and check them out. While I made my way to the front desk to pay, I suddenly was terrified that this super amazing vet who just spent more time looking at my dog than a person doctor has spent with me in multiple years combined must cost a fortune. Much to my delight, I found that her charges were incredibly reasonable and lower than some places that I know just don't provide the level of care that Dr. Novey does. I highly recommend Dr. Novey to anyone looking for a vet or thinking about switching vets.

My experience with Novey Animal Hospital has been excellent. Dr. Novey is extremely knowledgable about animal health, and clearly loves animals. She talks with the owner to form a diagnosis and takes the time to explain her reasoning. Appointments with Dr. Novey do not feel rushed or incomplete. In the past when I expressed interest in learning about my cats condition, Dr. Novey took the time to provide me with reading material. In addition to typed instructions on prescribed medicine bottles, Dr. Novey provides a photocopy of the notes taken during the appointment. The staff are universally friendly and easy to interact with. In reference to the other review, when my cat did not want to leave the room to get weighed, the staff simply brought the scale to check up room. I am sure they would similarly accommodate anyone that did not want to leave their pet.

I have been taking my pets to this clinic for nearly 15 years. What other vet takes photos of you with your newly adopted pound pup (and keeps them on file for 13 years!) and goes over mulitple examples of appropriate puppy treats and toys?! What other vet sends you a little angel pin when your pet dies? If theyre out there, I certainly havent encountered them. I have not found them to overzealous in terms of treatment. I think all of the doctors Ive worked with over the years in this office (Novey, Justice, and Winter) are conscientious of your pets health and the financial means of their owners. If that werent reason enough, I personally support women-owned and operated busineses whenever I can! :-)

Novey is a wonderful clinic from the front staff, the techs and the vets. A major plus of our family is the flexibility of the scheduling. On a personal note, I have never had a vet like Dr. Scarpinato. You would be hard pressed to find another person outside your family that will love and care for your furbabies like her! Dr. S and her wonderful vet tech, Gabe, were a source of comfort and valuable guidance on a recent surgery my done underwent. I could have not handpicked a better team myself!

Overzealous about giving my puppy shots on her first visit that she was not yet due for. They also took my dog in the back room to weigh her and take her temperature where I was not able to be with her. I personally dont like my pets being whisked away to a backroom that I can not see. Very friendly and willing to talk about my pet with me but I will not be returning if I can not be with my pet at all times and have a vet tech insist I give my puppy shots before they are recommended.

We have taken our pets to Dr. Novey and her fellow vets since she began her practice. You will not find a better professional to give your pets first class treatment. She is current on the latest evidence based care and brings common sense to tailor care to your circumstances. She understands that each of us has a different relationship to our pets, whether they are an under-the-porch hound or a pampered Maine Coon lap cat.

Front desk staff are professional, friendly, and remember my pets name. Impressive. The care is also exceptional. Dr. Hall really cares about my pets and always shares pros and cons of each treatment along with her recommendation. We have gotten the most up to date testing and treatments available for both our cats. I trust this staff more than the other 3 vets I have tried in Tallahassee.

We have been going to Novey since my puppy was 3 months old and she is 2 now. They are the best vet I have ever been to!! They take care of your pet as if they were their own. We have had one emergency and they were extremely accommodating, comforting and friendly. We love Novey and will be so sad when we move and have to see them go.

Novey Animal Hospital is by far the best vet Ive ever used. The staff and doctors are knowledgable and kind, and always take time to answer my questions. I never feel rushed and my pups always get great treatment. This is also one of the few places in town where I feel safe to board my dogs. I would definitely recommend Dr. Novey.
