We initially came to Baker House 3 years ago, because their prices were incredibly reasonable. I wasnt prepared for the amazing care and compassion we would receive. We adopted a golden retriever puppy 3 years ago, and love her to pieces. Dr. Craig was excellent with us as our 5 month old puppy broke her leg, and potentially needed major surgery. Thankfully, with the help of Baker House it healed well, and surgery was not necessary. Unfortunately that same puppy a few months later consumed several pairs of childrens underwear and required surgery. They were amazing. They went out of the way to make her comfortable and to keep us updated on how she was, and how we could best care for her. In the last month, we thought our cat was having a digestion issue. We took him in to see Dr. Craig and she quickly realized he had a large mass in his abdomen. She was able to draw fluid from around the mass, take some x-rays, and based on her expertise we decided to go ahead with the surgery. They were able to remove a 1 lb tumor from our 10 lb cat ( along with 6 cm of intestines). When he left the next day he was down to 7 lbs (after losing all the fluid and the mass). We took their advice and sent a portion of the tumor out for testing. It did come back as a cancerous tumor, but a very slow growing one and he should make a complete recovery. Dr. Craig and her staff saved the lives of BOTH of our pets on several occasions. It is incredibly evident that they genuinely care about the animals they care for. We are incredibly grateful for the expertise, care and compassion that we have received. We HIGHLY recommend them!!!

No doubt about it I am an animal lover and care for my animals as if they were my actual children. Recently we adopted a black lab and Dr. Craig performed her spay surgery which went great and her scar is barely noticeable now. However, when I took her in for her suture removal, there was a 6 week old puppy in a crate that said "free puppy". Of course I had to get her out and hold her and of course fell in love with. That morning Dr. Malloy was on his way in to the office when he found her all by herself, abandoned. Of course he couldnt leave her there all alone, so with is love for animals he was the one who brought her to the office knowing someone would adopt her. It was meant to be, immediately she was named Mollie and we just fell in love with her. So now Mollie and Maggie (our black lab) are BFF. Not only did Dr. Malloy bring her in for her protection, he is providing us with her 1st year of shots and her spay at no charge for giving her lots of love and a wonderful home to grow in. How many veterinarians would do this for stray little puppy? All of the Dr’s at Baker house are always available by office or phone when I need them and that means the world to me and gives me a piece of mind. Also, you can always expect a phone call the next day from Krista to check in on them when they have been to see one of the Dr’s. This is speaks volume about the type of service you will receive at Baker House Animal Hospital, they are all AWESOME!

Our dogs have been going here for a few years (because my mom thinks theyre the cheapest but if it were up to me i would take them somewhere else). The only reason they can be considered the cheapest is because they scrunch in as many appointments a day as possible and give every animal partial attention. Just last year i took my senior dog and my adult dog in for general check up and they "didnt or ever have them on file". ...... really?? We had been taking them for 3 or 4 years to only ONE vet. So we had to put them back in the system and the next time we brough them back, the system now only had one of my dogs in. Every time I go in for any reason I wait in the front for no less than 40 minutes then once back in a room I wait another 30. When someone finally assists me and my pets theyre rough, rude, and my dogs gets way more anxious. All those are just small inconveniences usually but one thing sends me over. One of my dogs has had to get 3 surgeries for similar things that could have been taken care of at the same time. I specifically pointed out and had the nurse feel what needs to come off and she wrote it down for the doctor. By the tine we came to pick her up they had NO idea there was more than 1area. So my baby has to be drug and traumatized multiple, unnecessary, times due to lack of attention and professionalism. And yes theyre charging us more and more each time. Please just take on less to pay more attention.

I have always trusted the staff at Baker House Animal Hospital with all my pets health care needs. From nail trims, routine blood work, surgeries, and yes, the humane euthanasia of beloved, aged pets, my experience has always been positive and compassionate. Along with excellent and personable certified veterinary technicians, I really appreciate that Doctors Craig & Molloy employ students from the local high school. I believe that by giving these young people professional experience in a busy veterinary practice, the Doctors are investing in their community and its future. The retention of these students is high- Ive seen some of them throughout their four-year high school career. Thats not something Ive seen in any other veterinary practice, "chain" or otherwise. I truly cannot imagine how much patients this takes, but bless them all for their efforts. Additionally, Baker House puts a high priority on continuing education for both doctors and staff. I know my pets are receiving the latest in veterinary healthcare advancements. I trust each Doctor equally, and I know they personally care about the health and well-being being of my pets. Their individual approach varies, as all personalities do, but I know they are each, in their own way, putting my pet first, which is all I really want from my veterinarian.

I called to check on my moms cat, after it was attacked by a dog. My mother was confused about what exactly was going on with her very loved furry purry.... I was talked down to, and found out that apparently pets at this clinic are protected by HIPPA ???? As someone who has an associates degree in veterinary science, I have never heard of this. I left my name and number , and was told that I would receive a call. I never received a call. I was very upset with the cryptic description that they gave my elderly mother. If I didnt live and work in Baltimore, Maryland, I would have gone to their office to make a verbal complaint. Since Im over 400 miles away, Ill just post my disgust on here. If you dont mind being treated like youre stupid, and you want your loved ones to be kept in the dark about the care of their loved furry family member, then I guess this is the place for you. But I seriously would not recommend this place!! They also have been playing lets guess and not do a thorough exam to see whats really going on with this poor cat.... Im so upset with how they treated my mother, and Im not there to comfort her.
