When my Dad was recently discharged from the hospital we were told to make an appointment with Dr. Torres within the upcoming week. I called the office and told the receptionist that we needed to make an appointment within the upcoming week. I was put on hold for a while, then she came back and said bring him in on Thurs. Sept. 3 at 1:30. I wrote this on my desk calendar and I repeated this information back to the receptionist and she confirmed it. When we got to the office on Sept. 3 we were told that his appointment wasnt in the book! No apology, just that he wasnt in the book and they didnt have a time to squeeze him in. This is not the first time this person has messed things up for our family involving appointments, messages and testing! This is very disheartening to put a family member that had been recently discharged and using a walker to go through with getting them to the office for an appointment that he was told he needed to make after his discharge only to find out that the receptionist failed at her job, once again, and he couldnt be seen by the doctor. Weve heard from numerous other people that they have had problems with this person also. I dont understand how this person keeps their job. If I would mess up one-quarter of the number of times this person has, I would have been fired a long time ago!!!! The worse part is, they arent dealing with just paperwork, its peoples medical needs and information!!! Im sure the doctor will never know about this problem because Im sure this person will not admit to THEIR screw-up!! Its a shame that the doctor has to suffer for one of their employees bad skills. Definitely time to find a new family doctor and one that has competent office staff!!!

I contacted Dr Torres Office on 4/12/17 after a friend recommended her. She told me Dr Torres is excepting new patients but expect the receptionist to be very rude. I contacted the office, gave all my personal information (I simply needed an Epi-pen) and was told that the doctor would review it and call me back with an appointment. Two weeks later, I still had not heard from the doctor. So, I called Dr Torres office again. I mentioned that I was still waiting to hear back regarding an appointmemt. The receptionist said that she called me, but she lied. Patiently I waited again. On 5/15/17 I called again for an appointment. The receptionist asked my name, then put me on hold. When she came back she told me that Dr. Torres said she would NOT be giving me an appointment. I was puzzled and asked why not. She said that she didnt have to give an explaination. Ive waited a month to get an Epi-pen prescription? Lady, just admit you intentionally overlooked my request a month ago ..or did the sound of my voice influence your receptionist to persuade you to decline my appointment? Two thumbs down for Dr Torres MDont

Just attempted to make an app. I was informed that I would hear back to see if I can even be seen sometime after August. I will continue to look for a primary in the area, hopefully someone who can tell me if I actually have an app or not, as opposed to waiting 2 weeks for an answer. If I actually meet with Dr. Torres or hear back to see if I am even selected I will update, otherwise I never heard of waiting over 2 weeks just to see if they will see me. .
