Just came from my husbands first visit. All I can say is this visit was nothing but a way to collect income. I called for an appointment a week ago for my husband and myself. I told the receptionist that we were new patients and needed our yearly exams. I also told her I have diabetes and my husband was in the beginning stages of macular degeneration. She told me we could not do back to back appointments because we had to see different doctors. When we arrived this morning for my husbands exam, we waited one hour in the waiting room to be taken to the back his exam room. The assistant was okay, kept asking questions that were already answered on their lengthy new patient forms. After all of that she explained my husband would only be having a retina exam today for his macular degeneration and would have to reschedule for the vision exam. (First we had heard of this). I told her I was very unhappy that we had not been told this prior to scheduling our appointment, she sent in another assistant who tried to explain it, but it made no sense. The doctor came in about 20 minutes later and did her retina exam and said we would have to schedule an appointment with the optometrist. I explained my husband is quite ill and we have an average of 2 doctor appointments daily and to schedule another appointment would be very inconvenient for us and expressed my unhappiness with lack of communication. Her only comment was "you will have to work it around your schedule". When we left they wanted to schedule the appointment which is did not do. Not only that, but they tried to collect a copay that wasnt due. I hope anyone reading this will take heed and use lots of caution before scheduling an appointment with this office. Be sure to ask all questions on what they will be doing at your appointment. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Building is beautiful is about all I can say about it. Beauty does not take good care of your health and vision!!!!!

Thieves – that’s all I can say about this company and the Wesley Chapel Office. They overcharge for glasses and then they credit your account, and never tell you. The only way to find out is to go into the office and ask. I would suggest to every patient of this company that they call the office and ask for a review of their individual accounts. The receptionist in the Wesley Chapel office has no concept of customer service, and blatantly lied to me today. She told me that the company did not need to refund me because they already knew I would be coming back – funny – when I cancelled my appointment today and walked out, I received a call from the head office in Zephyrhills apologizing and telling me that they had sent an e-mail to the Wesley Chapel office several months ago, and told them to refund the over payment. This must be a new revenue stream for the company – customers check your accounts – keep them honest.

I recently had cataract surgery with Crystalens implants with excellent results. Dr. Kaufman did a wonderful job with replacing my lenses and giving me vision that I had 20 years ago. I do not need glasses for any type of reading or driving or any activities now and can wear my fashion sunglasses again. I am free from wearing glasses at all. His staff was as professional as he was and treated me in a friendly caring manner during the surgery. I felt no pain or discomfort and was pleased with the replacement of my lenses two weeks apart. I would recommend Dr Kaufman as an excellent surgeon for cataract surgery and lens replacement. His followup care is also professional and caring..

I began coming to The Kaufman Eye Institute a few years ago when a bump appeared on my eyelid and remained for a long period of time. Dr. Jonathan Kaufman performed a procedure on my eye that finally made the bump dissipate within a week. The service and the doctors here are amazing ! The environment is so welcoming and relaxed. I now return yearly for my annual checkups and I am NEVER disappointed. I would strongly recommend The Kaufman Eye Institute to anyone rather they have issues seeing or if they just need to get a prescription for their glasses!!

Be warned folks ... keep your appointments or Kaufman will drop you as a patient. I guess he has so much business he did not need mine. I work full time and had to miss a few appointments ... we are all not retired that live in Zephyrhills. Im not at all disappointed ... the service was substandard at very best. The back office staff are very unfriendly and dont explain procedures to you unless you ask what they are going to do. So its off to FMC where I should have gone in the first place.

I have always gone to the local eyeglass chains for eye exams and glasses, and have never been happy with my glasses. This year my wife and I decided to go to Dr. Jon Kaufman and I will definitely only be using he and his office in the future. The eye exam was much more thorough than I have ever had in the past, and when I got my glasses this is the first time that my vision is absolutely perfect. I have always hated glasses, but not anymore. Thank you Dr. Jon Kaufman and staff.

I went to see Dr. Kaufman because even with best correction glasses, my vision was 20/200. This severe visual impairment interfered with my daily activities. I had cataract surgery performed on both eyes and within two days of each surgery, my vision was 20/20! The entire team was professional and very experienced, including the team at the Surgical Center. My quality of life has increased more than I could even hope for. Dr. Kaufman has changed my life for the better!!

Dr. Kaufmann recently performed cataract surgery on my eyes with ReStor lens implants. I absolutely love them. I do not need glasses of any kind anymore. I can see well at all distances. The office, & surgical staff were very professional, kind & courteous. The only reason I didnt give the review an excellent is because Dr. Kaufmann is always late. A lot of people complain about it but I feel that his expertise was good enough for me and I am thankful to him.

I was gardening and got something stuck in my eye that needed immediate attention. I called several offices in the area and only was able to get into Kaufman Eye for my emergency. The staff was very compassionate and Dr. Kaufman stayed into the early evening to help fix my eye. I highly recommend this practice. Thanks for your help and expertise.

Have been their two separate times in the last 3 years. Will not go their again. All the glasses made for me , were not right. Went back for corrections, same thing again. Still not right. Just gave up and went back to the pair I had made at walmart in 2010. Unsatisfied all the way around. Only gave 1 star because wouldn`t let me post otherwise !

I am very happy with my vision after cataract surgery! I had a lot of trouble seeing to the point that I had trouble driving my car before I saw Dr Kaufman. I am very satisfied with Dr Kaufmans work and his staff is very knowledgeable! Im so glad I was recommended here, I would highly recommend Kaufman Eye Insititute for all eye care needs
