I have been a student at Georgia State for 3.5 years now and have NEVER had so many issues with the clinic up until this last year (once Wellstar took over). Dont bother calling because they wont pick up, and if they do, theyll leave you on hold for about 45 minutes just to schedule an appointment. ALSO, dont bother making an appt on a class day. Those 3 students in the waiting area have more than likely been waiting for about an hour (despite being on time for their appt), so dont expect to show up on time and actually get back to a room in a timely manner. I came in for extreme abdominal/chest pains, I stood in line "waiting to be called up to the window next" for 15 minutes, despite being the ONLY person in line and sat in the waiting room for 32 minutes, then sat in a room waiting for a Physician for an hour and 47 minutes ( I wish I was exaggerating). Im not sure why Wellstar took over the clinic, but it has been a mess ever since. Not to mention, I provided them with my insurance number SEVERAL times, and even called them twice to make sure they got it, and I still got billed a couple months later. Honestly, I would find another clinic to go to unless you absolutely have no other choice. In that case, prepare to be waiting in the waiting area for quite awhile. If youre in a lot of pain of have an emergency, PLEASE DO NOT go to the Georgia State clinic. You are wasting your time and youve been warned. But to end on a light and positive note, Dr. Adrienne Garofalo is ABSOLUTELY amazing. I see her every time I have no other choice but to go to this clinic, and it can take a minute for her to make it into your room, I suppose its because they over book her with patients (I can see why, because shes so great). Shes worth the wait though, she is very knowledgable and smart and she knows what shes doing. She takes the time to write down anything she thinks is really important for you to remember and she will bring you pamphlets if anything is confusing or you want to reference back to it later. I wouldnt go to any other Physician at this clinic.

I was a walk in and waited a decent amount of time since those with appointments come before walk-ins. However, Dr. Beckford came in to assist any walk-ins that had not been seen yet and made sure to assist me in anyway she could. She was adamant on providing not only fast but efficient service. She was extremely freiendly and made me feel comfortable about my ingury. Since it was my first time attending our clinic I was new to the operations and she informed me the clinic was under new management. I assumed she was in charge because she handled everything so well and made sure every client was seen. Im more than happy to state I would recommend not only her but the clinic as well since GSU students already pay for their services with student fees. Again I would like to state it is under new management and I cant complain about my treatment or their services - Dr. Beckford is very hard working. Thanks to her Ill be able to take care of my burns and treat them efficiently.

I went to the clinic around 5 times in the past two years. 3 or 4 times I needed to place more than 20 calls to get an appointment scheduled. One time I was tired of calling and wanted to left a voice message. Even the voicemail box was full and I couldnt do that. One time I went there and the front desk told me I did not schedule an appointment with them. So I had to show them my phone call record. This time I called for a refill and the person told me to wait 24 hours and will call me back. I waited for more than one day and had to call them again, the person told me I did not have a prescription record and she could not give me refill. After telling her exactly the date I went to see the doctor, she said I can not do refill and have to make another appointment. In order to get a refill, I had to schedule an appoint. At this moment I am trying to reach them and failed after 17 phone calls(I tired from 8.50 am to 9.30am). I do not know what they are doing there.

Every time I have gone here I have had nothing but a positive experience! The ladies at the counter have always been very friendly, attentive and helpful. Additionally, they listen and adequately assess my needs. This is great, because the times Ive gone in there Ive come in with great concerns. In addition to to the staff at the front, the staff in the back have also been phenomenal, especially Elizabeth and Terrence!! These two are really awesome!! Theyre great listeners with wonderful personalities!! I wish I knew the name of this other staff person in the back who has been great also, but I dont know her name. :( She was very sweet. I appreciate her warmth and cleanliness while she was drawing blood. All of this is to day, the clinic is great. Everyone there is attentive, effective and trustworthy. Glad to have such a clinic on campus.

This place is so inconvenient. One not being able to make appointments online sucks because you have to call and be placed on hold for 45 minutes just for an apt. No confirmation, appointment reminders, or updates on appointments i was scheduled for a 10:15a appointment was told to come check in at 10a. I Arrived promptly only to be told my appointment was scheduled for 11a so I would have to wait around 45 minutes to be seen. I was livid. Because who just has 45 minutes at this time of morning to just wait around when you have a freaking appointment. There are only 2 reception people which makes it even more difficult to get anything done here.

I called to make an appointment midday. Unfortunately, my call was routed to an extension whose mailbox was too full to accept new messages - this is definitely something that should be looked into, and is the only reason I am giving a 4 rather than a 5 star rating. I tried calling a second time and was able to speak with the receptionist and make an appointment. I was taken back quickly and seen by the medical assistant and Dr. Fioranelli. I had a great experience with the doctor. He was caring and took time to explain my condition more thoroughly than other doctors have in the past (bronchitis.) It was definitely a good experience.

Dr. Beckford had to handle my case personally due to my medical history and she really went out of her way to help me. I had to get a lot of blood work done for my travel medical clearance and a whole bunch of different physicals. She and Terrance, the guy who checks people out, called my hematologist office and convinced them to squeeze me into their schedule. Which is something impossible on its own. I was able to get all my required documents completed within two weeks and its all thanks to them. For all the bad reviews on here, give them some slack. They are currently under new management and they oversee a lot of students.

This clinic is Phenomenal ! Especially the new Dr. Rita Beckford. She has always responded in a professional manner. She has even called within 24 hours i sent an email to her. She has been really caring. The staff was great as well. They helped me in a very paced movement. She is very caring and does her best to help each individual to cure there symptoms. I will go to her anytime if you have any problems ! Plus you can come here especially if you do not have any insurance . Everything is FREE too except the medication which was not a problem at all. I will come here with any problems i have in the future !
