I have to tell you upfront that even though it rarely happens, I was totally deceived by the nice Google reviews of Dr.Kumars office. Now, if you want to read the summary of my review in just 3 phrases, here you go: POOR SERVICE, HIGHLY OVERPRICED, and ENJOY SUBWAY ODOR @ HER OFFICE! Most often, Ive used Google reviews to choose the business/service that I need and that has usually worked for me, but Dr.Kumar was absolutely the poorest choice Ive ever made purely based on the reviews, total waste of time and money! First off, her services are HIGHLY OVERPRICED! Do yourself a favor and just compare the fees with other offices. Fortunately, there are several experienced dentists (with "excellent" reviews) in Atlanta metro area, just compare! I was told initially that Dr.Kumar "generously" offers a first cleaning visit promotion for $149 (you can definitely find higher quality services for lower fees, just compare). When they sent the bill later though, they had charged me with an additional $35 due to applying Fluoride! When I asked: why didnt you tell me upfront? they said this is something that needs to be determined in the "back"!! Are you kidding me? This is ridiculous! Fluoride treatment (if necessary) is included in cleaning session in every other dentist office that Ive visited. During the visit, the nurse gave me a toothbrush as the courtesy they typically do in dentist offices. Later, she came back twice to change the toothbrush, each time replaced it with a lower quality one (apparently because her boss was not happy with her being too generous!). Such a cheap and stupid behavior! Dr.Kumar either lacks experience how to treat and communicate with patients effectively or is so self-centered that seriously suffers from low communication skills. She (very naively) reveals her desire for your hard-earned money. During the visit, she was merely concerned with herself. No Dr.Kumar! This is not the way to success and to fill your office with patients, and thats why your office is empty most of the times. You have to care about the patients not YOURSELF! Last but not least, if you have scheduled your appointment in the morning, you may want to fill your nose with something not to be annoyed by the Subway odor that comes from next door. It would not be the nicest smell in the morning I guess!

Dr. Kumar is the best dentist Ive ever had. She is very professional, but at the same time, very caring and down to earth. She is gentle when cleaning my teeth and straight forward when it comes to questions about dealing with anything cosmetic like teeth bleaching. Dr. Kumar is very sweet and her staff is awesome as well. I first went here when I had an impacted wisdom tooth that was infected and needed to come out. All dentists I had seen kept telling me that it would have to be surgically extracted in a hospital setting because the tooth was embedded in my jaw bone. Dr. Kumars husband, Dr. Digumarthi, who is an outstanding oral surgeon, took a look at my X-ray, gave me a local anesthesia and laughing gas and pulled that infected, impacted, wisdom tooth out in less than five minutes! He counted 1, 2, PULL! I didnt have to be in a hospital setting nor did I have to be knocked out. Recently, my daughter, Madison, who is scared to death of dentists, felt comfortable and at ease when Dr. Kumar cleaned her teeth. I would recommend Dr. Kumar to anyone looking for a dentist, and if you are needing extractions or oral surgery, I would recommend Dr. Kumars husband, Dr. Digumarthi. In a big city like Atlanta, it is good to know that there are still doctors who genuinely care about their patients. Check them out for all your familys dental needs.

Over the years Ive often learned to accept that the concept of "personal touch" has become an antiquated practice in the modern business world. So imagine my surprise when I discovered the personable and caring team of professionals at Powers Ferry Family Dentistry. Dr. Kumar and her staff displayed unparalleled levels of patience and professionalism, even getting in touch with my dental insurance company when I realized I didnt have the proper documentation with me upon my initial visit. Though presented with alternatives to still receive the treatment Id come in for, I ultimately was resigned to the reality that I would invariably have to reschedule. All the while Dr. Kumars wonderful front office manager was on the phone calling insurance companies making inquiries, and alas she finally tracked down my insurance and I was able to keep my appointment. It was evident that my happiness and comfort as a patient were a priority. However, I soon discovered that who I was as an individual beyond my status as a "client" mattered just as much to Dr. Kumar and her staff. Im grateful to have found such a wonderful place.

I came to Dr. Kumar & Powers Ferry Dentistry because my former dentist, while very nice and generally good, spent way too much time pushing cosmetic add-ons and upsales that neither I or my wife were interested in. Dr. Kumar was an amazing doctor. She made me feel comfortable and relaxed while she ran through the exam and cleaning. When i learned that it was a brand new office Dr. Kumar gave me a tour and you could tell how excited and proud she was of the place. The office is super close to my job and I am glad to be an early adopter of a new and wonderful new practice.

On my 3rd visit, YOU CANT GO WRONG! First off Mel who answers the phone is super pleasant to speak with and schedule appointments, trust my schedule has been difficult. Dr. Kumar is professional and she is all knowing in the field of dentistry. Each time she has cared for my level of pain, she has has molded my fillings perfectly. All her staff is very kind. I was nervous and apprehensive about seeing a dentist, Dr. Kumar gave me the peace of mind. I urge you to come visit and try yourself.

I wish I could score this practice above a 5. I thoroughly enjoy having Dr. Kumar as my dentist. She and her team are friendly; courteous; ensure that your are clear regarding services; and most importantly make sure that you are comfortable. In the past, going to the dentist was my least favorite regular healthcare follow-up. That has changed since coming to Powers Ferry Family Dentistry. I nowlook forward to my next visit!!! Everyone at the office is cheerful and friendly and Dr Kumar is amazing! She actually performs the teeth cleaning as it allows her to see first hand what is happening regarding your oral health. In my 54 years I have never seen a dentist do the teeth cleaning function. Dr Kumar is a very caring and compassionate person and makes the process very comfortable. Dr Kumar and her staff understand and deliver great customer service.

Dr. Kumar is very sweet and extremely knowledgeable. She cares about providing quality service and it shows. She took the time to answer all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. Staff is also really nice as well. Facility is clean and provides a nice tv with movies to watch for those who are a little more squirmish about going to the dentist. Pleasant experience all around - didnt even feel like a dentist visit! :)

I visited the office today and it is a very well maintained office. I was extremely apprehensive about going to a dentist however after my visit, this was the best dental experience I EVER had!!!! Dr. Kumar is extremely professional and her bedside manner is exceptional! If you want to go to a dentist who will be sensitive and educate you along the way, then THIS is the dental office for you....
