I have been seeing Dr. Hymowitz since he was at Lens Crafters. He was the only doctor I would see at Lens Crafters because the rest of the people there were not personable and made you feel like cattle being rushed through. I was really happy to see him move to Brookhaven and open up his own spot. The decision was very easy for me to leave Lens Crafters and follow Dr. Hymowitz to Eye Haven. Eye Haven is not your typical Eye doctors office. It is very modern and well designed on the inside, not bland and boring like most doctors offices. However, the real highlight of Eye Haven has to be the people. Everyone is really friendly all the way from Dr. Hymowitz down to the person who answers the phones. Its just refreshing considering how many doctors offices are not like this these days. They have helped me out on multiple occasions. Most recently, I had something happen to my contacts right before I was about to leave for the airport and needed a pair asap. I stopped in on the way to my flight and they gave me a pair. They didnt even charge me and gave me a trial pair to hold me over until I could come in for an appointment. Its the little things like this that make me never want to see another eye doctor regardless of what deal they are offering. I could never go back to the big corporate chains like Lens Crafters after receiving the service you get at Eye Haven. You never feel rushed or pushed through and Dr. Hymowitz really does take the time to be personable and test your eyes thoroughly. If I could give more stars I would.

5 Stars all day. I had a great experience with Eye Haven and their second location on Buford High Way. I recently had a small particle lodge in my eye, I had never been to an optometrist before so I was a bit apprehensive. Well the incident occurred over the weekend, so I had to call several locations to get serviced. I went on Yelp and saw a location in the Ansley area which had rave reviews. I called them to get a quote/set an appointment and it was $125.00 just to walk in to have it looked at, I explained that I would be paying cash. Consequently I called Eye Haven, I explained to them that I did not have insurance and the really worked with me. They were able to fit me in for an appointment that day and the service/treatment was impeccable. The location was very neat and clean. Because I have to get the object removed from my eye they discounted me a second time and the charge even covered my follow up for the next day which was a Sunday. I had to go to the second location where they were just as gracious and I was able to be looked at by the lead optometrist. Once again my treatment was swift and professional. No long waits in the office and they were very accommodating. The Dr. Explained my circumstances and told me to feel free to come back if I had any problems. #Grateful

I have been going to Eye Haven for 2 years now, merely out of convenience to where I live and because I do actually think Dr. Hymowitz is a good doctor. I have not once had an excellent experience here. I am not one to write reviews, but after waiting 1 month to be contacted after I ordered and paid for a new box of contacts, I called the office. They had neglected to inform me that my contacts were on back order. Wouldnt that have been nice to know? I got the contacts last night - 1 month after ordering them, and put in a new fresh pair this morning on my way out the door to work. On the drive in I realize I cant see any distance and my vision is blurry. Its the wrong RX!!!!!! Not only are the front desk receptionists rude, they are incompetent! It says their office is open and no one is answering the phone. Rosilyn has been the only one to be helpful.

I initially chose this practice because I wanted to support a new business in my neighborhood, but I do not recommend this eye practice. Though the staff is polite, I have had ongoing issues with getting the proper prescription when I contact them for refills on my contacts. This is not an isolated occurrence; it has happened to me repeatedly when I call for refills. I now have to save my boxes so I can compare them to what I receive. I find it extremely troubling that they cant seem to accurately refill prescriptions. Clearly, they need to improve their software systems and train their associates adequately. It should not be that hard to reorder the correct prescription.

Excellent service from proficient doctor and polite and helpful receptionists. They gave me contacts samples after exam to try on - not only at the spot, but ask me to go home and try them for a week before I made my choice of the brands. All the contacts worked well for me but some made my eyes dry at later half of the day. So I went back to tell the doctor. And he re-checked the eye exam results and recommended more brands samples for me to try. Finally I could choose my best fit of brand and type. One receptionist was not so patient at my final visit there, but I still give it a Five Star based on my overall experience with the service and people there. Highly recommended!

I had a great experience with Alan. He actually discovered that my previous optometrist had given me a prescription that was not nearly powerful enough. I went from squinting to see to being able to see easily and clearly. He also did a good job with my contacts. He has extensive knowledge about all possible options and works with you to find a something that works for you. I have always had trouble with contacts due to my dry eyes, but he helped me to get contacts that work well for astigmatism and dont dry out my eyes. I had a very good experience overall.

Doctor is very thorough. Took his time to listen to and work with me to find the right prescription for work situation. I had tried 2 other docs before him that just couldnt get the prescription right, causing headaches! No more. :) The staff is great. Very friendly and communicative, calling with reminders and questions to get your order moving. As a little plus, the office is just a little funky and fun. No stuffy snobs here!

I have been a patient of Dr. Hymowitz for about five years now and a customer of Eye Haven since it opened and I have nothing but good things to say. They give you their full attention and go out of their way to accommodate you. Plus they seem to have the latest equipment. I particularly like the machine that takes a high resolution picture of your retina. Plus they also have lots of glasses frames to choose from. Highly recommended.

Eye Haven is awesome! Dr. Hymowitz did a great job, with very personalized service. He remembered me by name when I came in two weeks after my exam to pick up my glasses. If youre after designer frames, they have a huge selection and the prices are reasonable, especially with insurance, as they give 30% discounts above insurance. Great overall experience, Ill be back next year for my next pair!
