Dr. Biddle and his staff were incredible with Leia. We got referred to them from VCA for a gastrointestinal issue. They were prompt and efficient in getting an ultrasound done, walked us through the issue and also gave us information on the operation and potential side effects. They were very reassuring and walked us through an estimate of the cost item-by-item. Dr. Biddles assistant, Helena, was gracious enough to text me updates before, during and after the operation so I knew when she was going in, when they had found the item blocking her GI system and when she was out of the operation. The staff was very accommodating to me calling multiple times that day and the next to check on Leias status and when I could come pick her up. When I did go get her, they carefully walked us through the schedule for the next few days with feeding and medicines. I have already recommended AEC to a friend and will continue to do so for anyone needing an emergency vet. I could not be more impressed, happy and grateful working with them.

My baby Sebastian was almost 15 years old and on a steady decline. I knew what was coming and dreaded every moment awaiting the worst. Well the worst happened suddenly yesterday. My regular vet is closed till Jan 2nd and everybody I called wanted to start from scratch with exams and tests costing hundreds when I already knew what was wrong and saw Sebass suffering so much. The AEC from the first phone call till his last moments cared more about relief to me & Sebass than trying to bilk us of funds we do not have. They made sure we were prepared for the process, asked what we wanted to do, gave us what time we felt we needed with him b4 & after, handled paperwork with little bother to us, just...idk, just awesome! Its a sad reality, sickness and death, but if you are a loyal pet owner you vow to care for them until the end. Well, when the end comes, especially if it is after hours or on holiday as is inevitable, (Murphys law) this is the place to go. I cannot praise them enough.

Noticed a growth on my dog Chloes left hind leg that appeared late Saturday afternoon. Called to determine how busy they were since this seemed like a low priority compared to a true emergency. However, did not want to wait until Monday to see her regular vet. Receptionist very polite and said they currently had 4 emergencies. Took time to ask several questions and suggested coming in about an hour or calling back. I went there later and timing was ideal.. They examined Chloe, analyzed a sample and diagnosed it as histocytoma,, a benign skin growth fairly common in young dogs. Bottom line, no treatment currently needed as these usually regress on their own, but I was relieved to find that out instead of "waiting and watching" until Monday. Although it was Chloes first emergency vet visit, I have taken previous dogs there over many years (thankfully not too often). Have always been impressed by their professionalism and service.

Brought my pet here on Sunday 08/14/2017. She was very weak with elevated blood sugar. Just like the previous review they gave me an Over priced estimate. I Agreed to a lot of there test and was sent home with my dog still weak. They told me if she doesnt drink anything in 8 hours bring her back. I called three hours later to let them know that she seems to be getting worst and she wssnt keeping her water down. They said it was nothing they can do unless I had MORE MONEY. My beloved died within hours. DONT BOTHER with convenience. My dogs life was based on money NOT compassion. Pls dont bother with some lame response or apology. I regret making the choice to come to your hospital. I have to live with my choice.. I want to make sure ppl learn from my mistake.... We all love our pets.. Make sure you choose they right team for them.

They were horrible when I took my litter of puppies in my an emergency visit. I asked them to take temperatures and listen to respirations and they refused. They advised me to put the two worst ones down that I pointed out but I begged them to check the others and the just looked in the box and said they seem fine. I got home and not even an hour later I was losing another puppy. I know there may have been nothing they could do, but if they wouldve just checked temps and heart rates like I begged I wouldnt have taken home a puppy to suffer until it finally died. They were careless and the staff was rude and unhelpful from the second I walked thru the door. The vet tech Jenny was horrific, and condescending. By far the worst part of the experience. Ill never go here for a pet emergency again, regardless of the age of the animal.

In the early morning of this past Thursday, April 23, 2015, I found my precious kitty, Ava, in extreme distress. It looked like she had had a stroke. Dr. Dempsey at the Animal Emergency Center examined Ava, and let me know what he believed were the three possibilities of what was happening, He went back to Ava, and, within minutes, came back to tell me that Ava had had another "episode", likely a stroke, and had passed away. He was very nice and kind. He made a print of Avas paw in clay and added her name. I was so touched by this very kind gesture. I have the print in a shadow box. This kindness helped to ease the pain of her passing. If I ever need an animal emergency clinic in the future, it will definitely be the Animal Emergency Clinic of Sandy Springs - and hopefully will be seen by Dr. Dempsey.

Today we unfortunately had to take one of our 4 legged babies for emergency care. We found through NextDoor Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs. From our first phone call to Sarah at the front desk and all the way through, their care and empathy were nothing short of remarkable. Dr. Biddle was incredibly thorough. When they took our baby away for examination Sarah went into comfort mode reassuring us that he was in the best of care. She took care of us while the doctor took care of our baby. That kind of service during a traumatic time will make me a fan for life. If you ever find your pet needs emergency care, look no further. Thanks to those that posted about them before so we could quickly know where to go. Btw, our baby is back home and much better!

I remember this place...where did my review go? You dragged my Pomeranian off by a leash you tied around her neck...a Pomeranian morons. Collapsing trachea? Hello..the ignorant woman at the front who speaks her mind loudly no matter how wrong she is... Dragged my girl who was having an EMERGENCY off without looking at the dog being dragged along the floor. Then the idiot vet on call asked if she licked someones panties.... Like licking someones panties would cause vomiting for 24 hours straight... What a misogynistic weirdo.. These people are awful..but most vets in the city are...to find an intelligent vet you need to drive a distance where its not overpopulated and they will treat you and your dog as an individual.
