Long but detailed review: I saw Dr. Mahon last week for the first time after reading several reviews. First of all, it wasnt a hassle at all to schedule an appointment. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. I think they might be a little busy because they scheduled my physical/check up a month out. But its a physical, not a life or death situation so I didnt mind that too much. But last week I was sick and needed to see the dr for some alarming symptoms that I was having and didnt feel comfortable waiting another month to get checked out, so I called and asked to be squeezed in for any last minute openings- they were able to squeeze me in the next day! Awesome! The office was clean and all the staff was really nice. I waited in the exam room probably less than 5 minutes! Dr. Mahon listened to all of my concerns and answered all of my questions. I can tell she really knows her stuff. She explained to me why she ruled out certain things based on the symptoms that I was having and explained to me in detail what was more than likely causing my symptoms. She did not rush me and I could tell that she genuinely wanted to know about my health/lifestyle. She was super friendly and I loved that. I hate taking meds and will only take them if they are medically NECESSARY, so I also really appreciated that Dr. Mahon didnt try to fill me up with meds. She was very honest and blunt with me, yet friendly. All in all, I really liked my first visit and sincerely hope this positive experience wasnt just a one time thing.

DO NOT GO HERE!! At first the doctor was nice. I went to her for 6 years. Then I had a blood draw with the nurse at 8:00 am and could not make it because of a sick child. I cancelled and they charged me 50.00. When I tried to talk to them about this, they would not hear of it. The staff was very rude!! I tried to leave messages for the doctor to discuss and either they never gave her the message or the doctor who I built a patient / doctor relationship with just didnt care. A week later I got a letter saying she wont be my doctor anymore. She never gave me a call back or a chance to discuss. THEN a few weeks ago my daughter needed to see the dr. for birth control. She was already a patient so I thought I would try one more time. Needless to say, she gave my daughter 3 month rx for pills. After she finished up the first pack, I went to get the refill and was told by the pharmacist that the dr declined the rest of the refills that she originally gave her. So now my daughter will have a lapse in pills until we find a new dr. Very unprofessional!!! STAY AWAY!!!

The WORST doctor I have ever been to. At first you overlook her bluntness and slight condescending attitude. Then you go for a few more appointments and it gets worse. Finally you realize she has no genuine care or concern for you as a patient. If you dare challenge Dr Mahon in the slightest on a medication, her arrogance and elitism comes out 100%. I left this practice because I need a doctor that doesnt look down on me and treat me disrespectfully. Dont waste your time and money here. There are a lot better doctors in the area with a much higher level of professionalism and respect for their patients.

Dr. Mahon is wonderful. She takes her time to listen to me and hasnt ever pushed any medication or treatment on me. She is also very thorough in making sure she understands my symptoms or complaints so that she can best recommend treatment. I have been very pleased every time Ive seen her, and the office staff is very kind too. I am usually in and out of the office in under an hour. I would definitely recommend her to anyone!

Just moved to the area last year, and really pleased to have such a nice doctor nearby. She has a great sense of humor (that I suppose some may not enjoy) and is always pleasantly happy and fun to be around when I go. She seemed perfectly accepting of my personal decision to stop taking my medication, which was nice. She has seen my parents and younger sister as well, and we are all very pleased so far!

Shes nice and all.........but the last 3 times I was there, I have waited 45-60 minutes, in the exam room alone, for her to show up. She is cramming too many appointments in, to close together. I have only been there 5 times. First time was fine. Second, was too, with what I consider an average time to wait, but 3,4, & 5 have me wanting to go elsewhere.

I love Dr. Mahon. She is very sweet and actually listens to you. I havent had many doctors do that. The wait is usually not too long either.
