Its long over due...today, June 9 2009, after more than 10 years of being a customer at Rosin Eye Care, I could no longer put up with their lack of customer care and money robbing business operational style and told them I am taking my business elsewhere. My suggestion after 10 years of being a customer, do NOT use Rosin Eye Care. The staff (at the desk and the Gothic raccoon eyed manager) there have no sense of customer care and some of them do NOT even act like civilized human beings. The staff at Rosin Eye Care have been getting progressively worse over the past years. Today, I went there, the staff there all acted like that it was MY lucky day that they were showing me their, some were sour and some were Gothic, faces. Today, they tried to push me into unnecessary "exam" due to THEIR mistakes! Thats when I said that enough is enough. Their collection of eye glasses are hideous and WAY more expensive than most well know chains. All of my eye glasses were from somewhere else. Two years ago, my order of contact lenses took nearly two months to arrive because someone there made a "oops". For your eyes, for your sanity, and for your money, stay away from Rosin Eye Care.

After reading all the negative reviews I was about to just get my money back from my Groupon and call it a day. But a friend of mine told me to get a quote and see what they say/treat me. When I walked in, the atmosphere appeared stuffy but once I got assisted by a sales clerk Corina. It was a really pleasant experience. She was really warm and friendly, I asked her about the $150 and under frames and she stayed within my means without being overly pushy. She genuinely wanted me to leave happy with my selection. I even got a little assistance from Courtney who helped me decide between 2 different frames. Im a really friendly person so I guess I got all of the associates chatting and everyone engaged in conversation with each other without it seeming forced. Im glad I didnt give in to all the negative feedback, Im sure lots of people have awful experiences and not enough people that have good ones ever write reviews. When I mentioned my Groupon they didnt make me feel bad about having one and Corina was really happy I saved so much money and I found the right ones for me. If you go see anyone, go to either of the girls mentioned. :) YAH for a GOOD EXPERIENCE!!!

I thought maybe some of these reviews were exaggerated. I wish I had stayed away. While I had my appointment at the Michigan Ave location, someone informed Samantha that she had a customer on the phone. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, and mentioned how much she hated this woman. I changed my cell phone a week after my appointment and called Keisha, same office, to inform them of the new number. When another week went by, I called to find out the status of my order and was informed they had been there, but they couldnt reach me. It seems Keisha never bothered to update my number. Went in to pick them up, and the $130 clip on sunglass part was bent to hell. They said it wasnt an issue. I left because I wanted to get out of there, and noticed the lenses had been fit in the frames so poorly that they physically squeak when you press on the frames. These glasses are going back today for a four hundred and fifty dollar refund.

I have been going one Rosin or another for 28 years. I have horrible vision (worse than 20/600) and they have taken care of my eyes since I was a child with glasses, gas permeable lenses, multiple trials of soft lenses, surgery consults, etc. Dr. Rosin evaluated me on corrective eye surgery 10 years ago and recommended waiting for advanced technology and new techniques not yet approved, rather than taking my $5,000 and running. The glasses options are not always the best at stores other than the Mich Ave stores, the only down fall. But the Mich Ave folks spent much time with me trying on glasses, trying out differnt soft lenses, and seeing which way I could save the most money. I now live many states away but still return to get my vision taken care of when I am home for visits. They sent my contacts all the way to Iraq for me long after the one year date of my exam had expired. I will keep supporting Dr. Rosin.

Called to make an appointment and was told I could be seen about an hour later. On arrival, I was greeted with a smile and filled out some paperwork. After the quick 3 pages, I was taken to the back waiting room and waited about 2 minutes before I was seen by the doctor. She was extremely thorough and even checked my right eye twice to make sure she had the right prescription. She answered all of my questions and was very knowledgeable and able to explain things well. Afterward I was taken to the frames area. The person helping me helped me find exactly what I wanted, and we narrowed it down to two frames. Pretty much everyone there then gave me their opinion. Everyone was very kind and eager to help. The staff also explained my insurance policy to me well and what each charge would be. Overall, it was a great experience, and Im happy that I found them.

I will not go back to these people. I even refused to order my glasses or contacts through them. The doctor yelled at me when I could not see the chart. She told me to "stop acting" that I had the correct contact in. After much dismay, I insisted I could not see and that my eye was actually burning. Finally, she looked at it and discovered that she gave me a ripped contact. She never apologized. Just said take it out and put a new one in. And walked out of the room. Came back in and gave me a perscription that was a lot lower than my normal. I told her I could not see out of my left eye. Her response - well if you can see with both eyes open thats good enough. I walked out of the office. I can NOT believe the audacity of the doctor. I am now looking for a new doctor. I wonder what school would even give her a license...

After being a patient for 13 years, I have had it! All they care about is money! They didnt give me ANY of the AARP benefits - I am having to fight for them - supposed to get free glaucoma test thru AARP and they want to charge additional $15 - although they are definitely a participating provider in the AARP plan. None of the staff new anything about AARP benefits - including the supervisor - and supposed to get 20% off contacts and 30% off glasses and frames - they are ripping off everyone who has this plan. Over the years, I have had many fights with lenses mailed to the wrong addresses, lost lenses, on and on....they have a revolving door when it comes to staff - which says something right there. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE - MONEY DRIVEN AND THATS IT!! I also reported them to AARP today as I have absolutley had it !!
