This weekend we called the emergency number not once but twice for Walter and Harmon explaining we had a filly that would not and could not nurse. Whatever vet we spoke with told us to simply milk the mare and syringe feed the goal even after we asked him to come and look at them. We finally got a hold of a vet from Advanced Veterinary in effingham(the only other large animal vet i could find) The filly is dummy foal, which what my concern was and needed IV fluids and plasma along with other interventions. THANK YOU Brittany for Taking our concerns seriously and saving this filly.
