My dog had surgery and needed 24 hours care for a couple days so I went to Midwest little did I know they are not a 24 hour hospital till I got there and was told I need to pick him up at 8am and transfer him back to my vet after I checked him in at this point I had no choice but to leave him for the night. When I picked him up the hospital gave me false information on my dog and I almost had him put to sleep. They let my pet leave there with his bandage around by his hips and not covering his stitches I had towels on my back seat with blood on them because I had to take him back to my vet. Not only that no where on their website does it say that they only care for dogs and cats till 8am and then the dog and cat staff of care givers go home and you have to pick up you pet. If I would have known that I would have found a 24 hour hospital so my dog did not have to be transfered back and forth. I will never take any animal there again or recommend this place to anyone.

We had a serious emergency, my beagle named Leia was suspected of licking DRANO, which can cause several burns or death. As soon as we arrived to the clinic, we were told to go somewhere elese. I had explained the situation of my dog and they did not seem to care until they noticed me getting mad. They told us to leave to another room because cats and dogs are suppose to be take care of at 2:00pm. What I do not understand is how an emergency clinic can have specific times for different types of pets. If it is an EMERGENCY than it should be available 24hr a day. Consider switching the name of your clinic for future refrence and make sure that you treat each of your customers the same way. Te billing we came up with was sky high of about $500 for basic exams. I would never visit this clinic again due to their lack of respect and careless behavior.

We came in for our cat when we had concerns about a lodged hairball. Everyone from the receptionist to the vets were very accommodating and gentle with our cat, given that he also had anxiety issues. They were also very professional and sympathetic when they delivered the news that our cat had progressive throat cancer and not a hairball. They walked us through treatments and costs. However, all of these treatments were for temporary improvements but our cat would never get better. They subsequently walked us through the euthanization process. They were incredibly empathetic and understood what we were going through. It was a horrible day, but the staff at Midwest Animal Emergency had our cats needs at the front of their priorities and were professional throughout the entire process.

I cant say enough....I have read some of the negative reviews and cant believe they are talking about the same place! Everyone from front desk to techs to vets were wonderful. I brought my pet chicken in during emergency hours. They immediately rushed her to the back which is proper medical emergency etiquette. They did not waste any time getting my pet cared for. Everything was explained to me including prices. Thank you Midwest Animal Emergency for being so kind and compassionate!

We found this place when our cat was blocked and we had to bring him in. They helped him and his is now happy and healthy. Just a week later they saved our golden retriever, Misia, who almost crossed the bridge after her stomach turned. Cant be thankful enough. We really appreciate you guys! Very friendly and professional, not the cheapest but such are emergencies. Thank you so much!

They are very thorough and patient and saved our poor kitty from some ill-advised adventure into vegetarianism. They went out of their way to try and accommodate us, and were honest and upfront about treatments and costs. A million thanks, Diane and staff at the emergency hospital, on behalf of myself, my family, and our beloved Seahorse!

Why would this Vet list themselves as EMERGENCY VET if they are not open 24 hrs. I can only have an emergency during THEIR business hours? If a person does have an emergency these phony listing waste valuable time in finding a REAL emergency vet.
