ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE OFFICE. Worse experience EVER. I show up early for my appointments, and I never even get put into a room until 20-30 minutes AFTER my appointment time. I then wait another 20-30 minutes IN the room. Then, all he does is walk in, look at my skin, and then write me a prescription. He was also very rude to me (instead of asking if I had acne on my chest and back, he just grabbed my shirt and looked). RUDE, TERRIBLE SERVICE. I also was waiting for my bloodwork so that I can start Accutane only to find out that the appointment THEY made was too early so my blood work is not valid. I now have to go BACK to the office and get more blood drawn for THEIR mistake. They didnt even apologize, and when making my new appointment, I was also not given many choices, which I found rude considering it was their mistake. Unfortunately for me, he is the ONLY doctor available under my insurance. Some of the nurses are kind, but he is by far the rudest, most judgmental doctor I have ever dealt with. He actually told me, and I quote, "Your treatment is on MY schedule, NOT yours". What do you even say to that? Stay far away from this doctor.

I went there for a rash on my arms and chest. I wanted a patch test because I thought I had a food allergy. Dr. J Bakal took about 5 minutes (most of the time typing on the computer) to check the rash. He then quickly said I needed 20 "light treatments starting immediately. After going through 12 of the treatments, the rash was spreading. I made another appointment to see him. When he walked into the room he did check my arm and said he would schedule me for a patch test. When I asked why he wanted me to go for the 20 "light" treatments before; his reply was we gave it the old college try. His office help is friendly and nice but he needs some serious help in any bed side manner. I wont go back again. Im presently going to another dermatologist.

Hi everyone. This is the first time I have taken time to write a review for some one. I was suffering with severe acne since am 14 years old. Now am 28 and I was still suffering till few months ago. I used several on store medicines and visited many doctors but my problem persisted for years. I visited Vanessa Dybala with acne problem. She was so friendly and she listened to me patiently and answered all my questions. With in 3 weeks I could see the changes. I only made 2 visits to her before I moved to another state. Now I do not have acne and my acne marks have disapperd.i have smooth skin. She is amazing doctor and she knows what she is doing exactly. Thank you so much for my skin. I have been longing for over a decade to loose acne.

I went to Bakal for an assessment with Leigh. She and the office staff were very friendly and welcoming. The biopsy came back positive for skin cancer, which I obviously had to get removed. Dr Jeff Bakal performed my procedure. While his bedside manner could have been more friendly, he was all business and removed 100% of the cancerous tissue. I was concerned about a scar, since the cancer was near my scalp. After fully healing, I was pleasantly surprised that my scar is only a small straight line. This means he did a great job analyzing the area he had to remove and stitched it properly. There were no issues with insurance or billing and my follow up for stitch removal was a breeze. Overall, my experience was great.

Had my first appointment today at Bakal Dermatology. I got there a few minutes early since there is paper work to fill out. The front staff was friendly and helpful. I only had to wait about 5 minutes and was taken to a room. Was welcomed by the doctor she was so friendly and really listen to what I had to say.She answered all my questions and wrote me a script and gave me samples of some item to help me. I have an appointment to see them in 3 weeks and I will be returning. If you need dermatology treatment please see Bakal Dermatology you wont regret it.

My experiences with both doctors were extremely professional and competent. I had no problems and both did their job well. The wait time was a little long both in the waiting room and the exam room. But, they are a very busy practice. Theyre working on the problem from what Ive been told. They understand out time is valuable, as well.
