Ive been to Animal Eye Consultants a couple of times. My experience... Never let your regular vet perform eye surgery -- go to a specialist. And everyone knows the specialist in the Midwest is Dr. Denise Lindley at Animal Eye Consultants. Sure they cost more, but isnt your pets eyes worth it? Also -- God Bless her. She determined my dog went blind and developed Cushings due to my previous vets over-use of steroids for his chronic ear infections, etc.; I stopped the ear medication, and guess what - he could see again within a week! Thanks Dr. Lindley for your experience and the gift of sight again for my doggie. Thanks also for the entropian eyelid surgery -- Jackies eyes were saved twice by you. Pros: her tight loops in sutures was appreciated by me (they didnt stick out and poke him in the eye like an amatuer probably would do). She has two locations. Her experience is AMAZING. Cons: none

Ashleys review is collection of run-on sentences bitching about nothing substantial or tangible. Clearly she "leaped before looking" and should have used her head because Ive been to AEC a few times now for my cat and go EVERY 6 MONTHS for checkup of my beloved cats eye. They are NOT a full blown veterinarian and perhaps Ashleys head was up her ass when she heard that they were. They are an animal eye specialist and do wonderfully blessed work! Dr. King is my go-to but I trust them all. They are not over-priced by any means. Little expensive in general but if you want chop shop work, then go to a chop shop. PUT YOUR MIND AT EASE AND TAKE YOUR ANIMAL HERE!!! Oh and BTW, going every 6 months is MY MANDATE....they recommend me in only once every 9(ish) months. Im just neurotic about staying on top of my cats issue.

During my initial phone call I was told that they take care of everything not just eyes. My cat has eye issues, but recent weight loss was my main concern. After allowing them to do eye tests after clarifying that they do not do everything as promised, I was given a ridiculous estimate (over $5,000) after the $550 already dropped today. I decided to get a second option and just take the medicine they suggested. THEY NEVER WEIGHED MY ANIMAL AND GUESSED AT THE WEIGHT! ALL MEDIATION IS DISPENSED BY WEIGHT AND THEY WERE NO WHERE NEAR ACCURATE! I weighed him at home & HAD TO CALL & TELL THEM THAT THEY HAD THE WRONG WEIGHT & ASK IF THE DOSAGE WAS TOO HIGH FOR HIM! AND OF COURSE IT WAS! DO NOT EVER GO HERE! I wish I could rate it lower than 1 star!
