Honestly, Ive had such good experiences here, both with WIC and with the health/dental side of things. I went in to this not expecting the best results, but have been pleasantly surprised by the way I (as a low-income mom) have been treated and the work put in by staff to help me and my family. Keep in mind that there are wait times, and its first-come first serve if you have no appointment. Despite this Ive never waited as long as I would have expected. The office staff helped both me and my daughter get insurance, and bent over backwards to make sure I got the very specific type of insurance my OB-Gyne accepts. The process took about three months, but that was not the fault of the Community Health Center at all-- in fact, they called and faxed DHS multiple times and helped my case get back on track so I could get health care during my second pregnancy. They also worked to get me in to have a dental check-up last minute; I did have to come the next day, but that is comparable to the private dental service I used to use. As far as state-provided services go, this is top-notch in my opinion. I have not needed any medical services here, so perhaps there would be more complications in that area, but WIC and insurance help, as well as staff attitudes, have been phenomenal.

horrible treatment. I went in to try to find out why I have back pain and was repeatedly told they dont prescribe narcotics. Problem with that is I explicitly requested that I not be prescribed anything for the pain and that I only wanted to find out why and if there was anything that could be done about the pain. Instead of ordering tests or anything of the sort I was prescribed a non-narcotic pain killer and told there was nothing they could do. Now my 2 year old daughter who has gone to midlakes since birth has a rash on her feet and the pnp says its just contact dermatitis and to use 1% hyrdrocortizone 3x daily for a week. 3 days in the rash is spread much more and is worse in appearance. I call their ROund Lake office repeatedly only to be transferred to their Bellevidere office and told I would be transferred back to Round Lake only to have Bellevidere office pick up over and over again. No one at the Bellevidere office could contact any single person that should have been working in ROund Lake for over 20 minutes at which point I gave up and so did my cell phone. Needless to say I will be starting a search for a new pediatrician today.

Absolutely unacceptable. I spoke with a woman on the phone, and I told her my son is very sick (who is only 4 years old). I gave her all necessary information that was needed. She told me last time he was in their office was November of 2015. I said yes. She continues on to say does he have a pediatrician and I said yes but we are looking for a new one. She says maam you have to take him there. Seriously! This is a health clinic that is supposed to welcome anyone, yet they push people away. Ill say it again UNACCEPTABLE!

Scheduled an appointment for a physical for medication. Went in for a physical. Everything was fine until the doctor showed up. She did nothing, dismissed my situation, and told me to go somewhere else. Absolutely rude. The nurse that followed up after the "doctor" made her hasty exit, could be described as condescending at best. If youre in need of medical attention, dont bother going here. I cant imagine that theyd actually lift a finger to help you. But, of course, theyll make sure to send you a bill.

I called earlier today about making an appointment, polite young man said I could stop by at 12:30pm for a walk in appointment. I arrived at 12:15pm, sat for about 45 minutes with not a soul at the front desk. Patients with appointments were being let in, but no one to take care of patients waiting. Will be looking for another dentist and would not and will not recommened.

I was sent here to see a doctor about a possible blood clot in my leg, and to get a referral so an ultrasound could be done. After explaining this to the receptionist, I was told that I would have to go to my GP, even after I informed her that I didnt currently have one, because they couldnt do that.

They stuff is really nice and respectful but i think they treat you the way you treat them!!! My only complaint is really hard to get an appointment with them! It takes a really long time! (Weeks) other then that the place is really clean and in decent conditions!

Everything was great until they took away my Glipizide because I didnt show up for ONE doctor appointment!!!!! It was freezing outside, & I couldnt go!!!!! Try going outside in below zerotemperatures!!!!! I am NOT COOL with THIS!!!!!

They take forever! Receptionist are very very rude!! Take tests that are extremely inaccurate. And really act like they hate their job ;(
