I have seen much improvement with this hospital. Now is there crappy doctors yes and nurses. As far as union hospital, yeah it went down hill. I went there do to my medical condition and sat in a room for 4 hours. They didnt even check me in or anything, know why?, cuz they forgot about me. And union treated my father who was dying like crap. Yes st.vincent needs awhole new medical team. Much of the doctors treat people like me as if i was drug seeking but yet they give all these dopeheads all kinds of pain meds while they are there. Im supposed to be on pain meds, but i have had a few of clay countys doctors classify me as a drug seeker. I moved back from Louisiana a year ago after being gone for 10 1/2 years. The doctors ripped my pain meds away after being on my pain meds and my xanax for nearly 5 years. These doctors need to understand that they can kill people by taking their pain meds away and making people stop coldturkey, cuz of the withdraws. Theres been a couple of doctors i would have liked to punch in the mouth. Theres good and bad about clay countys hospital.

I have always been a strong supporter of our local hospital. I am not big on running to the emergency room unless I really feel its an emergency. I have only the utmost respect for the nurses, but I will call in advance if I ever need to go or take a family member there again. If Dr. Byerly is on duty I will just go to Terre Haute. That is the most arrogant, condescending man I have ever met. I posted on Facebook and was amazed at how many replied with experiences just like mine. Someone in the ER needs compassion, not judgement.

Go to Union in Terre Haute. Even if youre on youre death bed, please, go to Union. St. Vincent will treat you like youre an attention seeking hypocondriac. The nurses nor the ER "doctor" care about you in any way shape or form, and they make it very clear that they think youre just there for fun. There was one other patient in the ER (I could see this one person because they made me keep my door open) and I was still in there for 5 hours. Please dont go to St. Vincent for your own good.

it has now been about 6 months I am still receiving bills from my visit to there hospital. Whenever I think I am done I get more bills and excuses why. I do not like opening up my mailbox and receiving bills 6 months down the road and or excuses why. I looked at my insurance and realize I will be receiving more the stress they cause due to this is unreal, if you r one who pays your bills I would not go to there hospital, I do not know when the madness will stop.

Omg , absolutely ticked right now. I had to go here while traveling and they have been the worst. They failed to use my insurance at the hospital giving me a 400 dollar bill. Then used it for just the clinic visit and still cost 90 dollars. It was the same visit for an injured ankle!! Edit: Month later and I am still recieving mutlitple bills in amounts like 14 dollars and 1.72 like are you serious.

Went in for a colonoscopy and the staff was AWESOME. I mainly dealt with Robin #3 and Robin #4 and Amanda. They could not have been any nicer or professional and caring. The doctor came from Michigan and was great. The anesthesiologist talked with me and made sure I didnt get sick afterwards (which I was really dreading). If you have to have one of these procedures - I give this team a 10+.

Waited over 2 hours with my 2 year old without seeing the doctor... and they were not even busy!!! Ended up leaving- told them I was leaving to go to Terre Haute... they were all standing behind the counter just talking and one of the nurses just looked at me. No appology... nothing! We will NEVER go back there again!!! Its worth the drive to Terre Haute!

Worst hospital ever been here for three hours in pain sitting in the hallway and not once have i seen a docter or anybody i dont even have a pillow to lay on
