First off Dr.Hu in the ER is an absolute ass and I hope to never have the displeasure of being treated by that midget ever Been going to St.Vincent for years ever since I was under age. Now an adult I can honestly say. the care I received back then when I was younger. From Drs and nurses is better then the care I receive now. The nurses now in the adult hospital and ER ARE AWFUL. The Drs in the ER and adult hospital are just as bad. Even kept waiting In a room for 3 even 4 plus HOURS!!!!. Ive had nurses not remove my tray when I was in the hospital. To being extremely loud in the hall, to having a foul atittude, calling security on me to remove me from my own hospital room because I took too long to get dressed due to pain and struggling to walk. To having my Dr threaten to no longer treat me. if I didnt show up on time to my next appointment. To nurses making fun of me right outside my hospital room door. To social workers disrespecting me when I asked about one of their assistant services. To security distressing me and being rude. To one of my Drs giving me the wrong medication several times even after I told him I was allergic to it. I literally dread going to this hospital and definitely hope to find another one. The level of service has hands down gone WAY DOWN. The good nurses and Drs I once had no longer work here. Most told me it was due to low wages and being treated poorly. Its like all the good people who made this hospital great. And great cared about patients just left. Leaving only the crappy ones, now once in a while I do see. Good nurses and Dr that treat you well but not much and often times its for a very short time. Many of these Dr and nurses forget that their treating sick patients. Who often times are at their worse. Instead of understanding that and trying to cheer people up and make them well. Many treat patients badly and take things way too personal. You have no business being a Dr or nurse if you cant heal someones body as well as their spirit without adding on to their stress and pain which many staff here do. Only pros are that its clean, has good medical technology and practice. Other then that its pretty much all down hill. Atittude and treatment of people has dramatically suffered way below poor. Also I will say they absolutely do profile people. So minorities over all get treated very disrespectfully. I cant tell you how many times Ive gone to an ER had test done was given meds and sent home STILL IN PAIN. Definitely make this hospital a last resort Im going to try IU health see how they compare.

I quite honestly dont know what happened with this Hospital. In past few years, while the quality of Specialists, still tends to be very good, the Hospitalists, Anesthesiologists, and the Nursing staff that I have had contact with are quite frankly horrible. I have have quite a few large complicated medical issues that have been handled quite well. But that is where the positives end. The Anesthesiologists have been OK, but they seem more focused on case than patient, when it comes post procedure pain mgmt, tending to lump everyone into 1 group. Changes in medications are often not passed to care group. The Hospitalists, while I know their "job description" of the 5 times I was required to have 1, I saw one once. So how does one know how to meet specific care level if they never see you. This creates a very inconsistent care plan, and also have never received my entire supply of maintenance prescriptions during Hospital stays. Now the Nursing and Medical Technicians. With Nursing staff you have 75% of getting RN who actually cares about patients, 20% of getting same RN at night. (they run 12 shifts). The obvious problem is you develop no rapport with them since they are there only working 3 days. I know in recent years that there has been ownership changes and it impacts nursing staff almost immediately, because they want to make sure they are "doing everything the right way". The problem is this directly affects care provided. I would assume that most of "changes have impacted them"which why the are disinterested, dont care about details, and have zero sense of urgency. They also then have to train the Med Techs. which 95% of the ones are there 100% for the check. ( To be clear only the techs "involved" in patient care. Generally have not had problem with them in other areas. Lastly there seems to be a HORRIBLE line of communication with care providers, and other care providers, and then PATIENT. It is a giant goddamn game of "pass it down line" which means by the time the patients need what is requested, 1.) It isnt what was...2.) (even worse) completely falls through cracks or (system). Lastly I had a Medical Tech, tell me to shut up and refused care because I was racist, never in 55 years have had that dropped on me. p.s. Can hot food be hot, and cold food cold ?

The worst experience Ive ever had the PA Amy was very rude. I went because Im have flu sign bad headache body aches running nose bad cough Ive miss work the last two days and the PA said it was my allergies. Never ran test or nothing just did a x-ray and discharged me I sat there for 3 1/2 hours to leave feeling the same way which is real bad I was in tears by the time I left. I was talking to the rep at St. Vincent about the current situation and how they called security because I ask for another doctor they came back and said I been discharged and no other doctor was gonna come and give a second opinion. So I was waiting on my ride and talking to the rep Latrice from St. Vincent about the situation. And I was tell her how they called sercuity on me like I had threaten them or something. Right after I said that two rude ass sercuity men came to me and ask me to leave the property well Im on the phone explaining what happened I ask why they didnt give me a reason at all just told me I had to leave. So as Im walking I snap only because I wasnt being rude and loud. And I feel like I have the right to speak on thing thats not right. I talk to the lead sercuity I told him that I was ask to leave while I was waiting on my ride he said his sercuity told him I was loud. But I wasnt then he said that it a private property and they can ask me to leave any time even if you waiting on a medicaid ride so I walked down the walk way and just so happen my ride pulled up it is dark outside and it a lot going in Indianapolis. Alll them doctor a St.vincent care about is getting paid. Not for a patient and they health. My mother was there yesterday could breathe period they did test the said she had fluid around her heart and lungs my mother is very sick they sent her home knowing that she was having a hard time breathe oxygen level was between 70 & 80 she still at home having a hard time Breathing. I will never ever come back to that hospital ever not me or none of kids and I will be calling let my insurance know that I was not treated for nothing that was wrong with me on this day. And I will also let them know of how they treat there patients.
