I can not begin to say enough about Circle City. My old veteran has been kept mobile and strong due to the physical therapy (laser and underwater treadmill) sessions. She loves the sessions (with peanut butter incentives) and despite her old-age-induced arthritis she is alive and far more mobile than many others of her breed and of her age. Two years ago she had a series of digestive upsets and her home vets sent us to CC for an ultrasound. She was quickly diagnosed with an adrenal cancer. She survived the surgery and now at 12 years she continues to flourish and is still cancer free. We have also taken several of the rest of the crew in for Emergency care (corn cob eating, soap eating, sudden unexplained pain, etc.). Expenses are explained in detail and choices given as to what direction to take. We have terrific home vets, but after hours, when things go crazy wrong we head to CC. Recently Dot unexpectedly began to hemorrhage after a spay and she was seen immediately and treatment initiated quickly. Two days later we had our Dot back home, recovering nicely. It is now several months past treatment and she is back to her normal self. I realize that there are some odd reviews on Google. No, there is not a Dr. Heinz at this practice. And that bit about chains and dropping dogs? Eh... no, this is just some weird imagination at work. Ive had several dogs in their critical care and all have come home safe and sound. The doctors and technicians have taken the time to listen to me, take detailed histories, and explain tests and imaging. They are professionals with the pets care their utmost concern.

2 years ago our male Pomeranian had surgery here. Wonderful for surgeries or when in need of a specialist. However, our older girl Pomeranian has a luxating back left patella. Usually it goes back into place on its own when she walks on it for a bit. Today, it was stuck and didnt go back so she wouldnt eat or move because of her back leg. We decided to take her to a vet since our normal vet can easily move it in place in 2 seconds and same with her vet techs. We took her to MedVet because it was a Saturday and Elle was having a really rough time. With such a simple and common issue, we figured wed be in and out in a couple of minutes. We were wrong! Although extremely friendly, the vet did not put her knee back properly. She limped around on the floor, when usually she walks like nothing happened. When we went and paid, it was $105!!!! For something so easy!!! I was expecting 10-20 dollars because our vet normally doesnt even charge us to fix the patella. It was for an "emergency fee"... Which is understandable for cases when you bring a dog in with a serious medical condition, but honestly, the vet tech could have moved her kneecap in the lobby! Our Pom still cannot walk on her leg now that she is home and hasnt gotten up since bringing her home. Honestly, we wish there was a way to get our money back. Instead, well be here, carrying our Pomeranian around the house when she needs to get places until we can see our real vet on Monday. We paid way more than we should have even IF they did fix her knee... $105...

I am changing my positive report after an unsatisfactory experience this past weekend. It is not something I am happy to be doing, but ever since MedVet bought out Circle City, I have had a feeling that things were not going to be the same as they were before. With a 99% certainty on my part, we took our Westie to MedVet this past weekend for a UTI. Her past experience shows that would very, very likely be the case. A culture was due before too long, so I did not mind them doing that or sending it off for analysis. However, they told me they had to use an ultra sound to find her bladder. No one has ever said that before, and she was out of the room I was in for way too short a time for that to have actually taken place. We were charged over $460 for the whole experience, and I think something is very wrong with that. It takes a while to set up for an ultra sound, or so I am told, and then the urine has to be drawn. The whole thing didnt take five minutes, and that sent up a red flag to me. I have always before had such confidence in things at MedVet, but I am afraid that is no longer the case.

Our dog was attacked by another dog and had multiple lacerations to her right front leg. It was 8pm on Sunday night so we took her to MedVet for emergency evaluation. It was very busy and we did have to wait for quite a while before seeing Dr. Macumber, but we were triaged by a vet tech almost immediately. Dr. Macumber took great care of our baby - she did appropriate work-up including x-rays and a thorough exploration under sedation of the injuries. She drained the area appropriately and treated with antibiotics. She had to postpone the surgery, but started antibiotics and pain medication right away so that our girl would be comfortable and safe while she was waiting for her procedure. Overall, coming from 2 (human) surgeons, my husband and I were very impressed with her management of the situation and we have complete confidence in her and MedVet. Hopefully we will not have to return, but it is comforting to know that they are available and open 24/7 to provide excellent care for the pets of Indianapolis.

Do not use this Vet if you value your dogs life!! Took my dog in for surgery and she had enlarged lymph node. Before performing dental surgery, the surgeon had the oncologist pull an aspirate of the lymph node. I was told the node was "reactive" (i.e. not cancer) just so I would continue with the surgery and spend $$$. Without my knowledge the aspirate was sent to a pathologist and came back as Lymphoma (i.e. CANCER). Did anyone at Circle City bother to CALL ME or send me the test results to tell me my dog had a terminal illness? NOOOOOO!! I did not find out the aspirate was sent out for further review until 11 days after my dogs death. Cause of Death- LYMPHOMA. I hold Circle City 100% liable for my dogs death in that they did not provide me test results in a timely manner which precluded me from getting the treatment required to prevent pain and suffering. I only hope these people have some sense of remorse for directly contributing to the death of my dog!!

I brought my cat in one evening after she fell over and started stumbling. We ran some tests and didnt find anything that would give us a definitive diagnosis, so we decided to go home and follow up with the regular vet. I was impressed by the time they took to talk to me about what we should do next to better understand what might be going on. The only thing I did not like about our experience was that the vet who was taking care of us finished her shift midway through treating us, but everyone we dealt with was nice. I also really appreciated that the tech who took her vitals wrote down everything that I said when she was asking me what I observed and then sent a copy of this with her test results to me and to my regular vet. They also sent me home with a copy of her x-rays that I was able to pass off to the regular vet, and followed up with us to check on her and ask what they could have done better a few days later.
