This clinic has left me very upset. I took my dog there to be spayed, through the animal shelter here in Madison, and I paid through the animal shelter for this procedure as well. When I got there they came up with a bunch of extra charges, I called the shelter and they were unaware of the charges themselves, but they checked it out for me and they said it was all legitimate and the shelter apologized to me for the inconvenience. Today I went to pick her up and they informed me that they preformed an ABORTION on my dog, we just got her and had no way at all of knowing she was pregnant at all. Not only did they preform this abortion on my dog, they didnt call to ask for my permission, or even let me know that they did it when I called the night before picking her up to ask how her surgery went. They left that part out until today. Now all of this is bad enough but they actually charged me money for the abortion that they preformed without my permission! They also were supposed to do a heartworm check and administer heartgaurd and nexgaurd, which they neglected to do completely. They tried to tell me this abortion was all okay because they didnt have any way of checking to see if she was pregnant and it was an early pregnancy so it was no big deal. To me however its a big deal, I dont believe in abortions, I didnt want an abortion on my dog had I have known, and I certainly should never have been made to pay for something that Im not at all okay with and something that I did not request or even approve of having done. I want to point out that I did notify the shelter who apologized and offered to reimburse me for the abortion fee, which I did not let them do because this was not their fault. I will take my three babies else where from now on. This was way out of bounds. There could have at least been an apology, and there is no reason I should have to pay because they neglected to check my dog out before cutting her open! I am highly disappointed and extremely upset about this whole situation.

I took my cat here to get her fixed and up to date on her shots. Throughout my time looking into Madison Animal Clinic, scheduling my cats appointment, and actually paying the bill, I was told 3 different prices. Upon looking at the bill it said my female cat was a male canine, which was clearly a typing error because the surgery and leukemia vaccination shots were given correctly to my knowledge. Im not sure if its normal, but my cat was filthy when I brought her home. She recovered well so I dont think there were any complications. But the bill I received did include charges that I did not approve of, nor was I even told of, prior to handing my cat over to them. In all, Im happy that my cat was vaccinated and spayed, but I will not be returning to this vet in the future because of the vibe they gave me and how in the dark they made me feel.

Outstanding customer service from every employee. 1 year ago I rescused my first dog from our local shelter and did not know much about taking care of an animal. At the first check up appointment Dr. Barron talked with me for quite sometime, answering all my questions and also giving me tons of advice. One year later that same dog i rescued from the shelter was hit by a car and Dr. Barron came in on her day off to change my dogs bandages and put me at ease after said dog was hit by a car a few days prior. I am extremely satisfied with how they interact with me and my fur children. Any time I have a question the staff is more than willing to help me :) I would recommend Madison Animal Clinic to anyone :)

Great vet experience! Dr. Barron went out of her way to take care of our dog Holly. Ive never had a vet get down on the floor with my dog before. Holly is now up to date on her vaccines & free of those pesky fleas. Thank you Dr. Barron & staff.

A good animal clinic. There prices are a little high so dont go in with less $40. Friendly staff and clean kennels are the good things about this clinic.
